Eligibility Criteria

Master's degree (M.Des./M.Sc./MBA in Fashion, Textile, Design, or related discipline) from a recognized Indian or foreign university with a minimum of 55% marks or equivalent CGPA.
Alternatively, a four-year Bachelor's degree in the relevant field with a minimum of 75% marks or equivalent CGPA (direct admission in Full Time mode only).
SC/ST/OBC (non-creamy layer)/Differently-Abled/EWS candidates are eligible for a 5% relaxation in minimum marks as per UGC regulations 2022.

Admission Process

Fill and submit the online application form at www.amity.edu/phd with required documents and an application fee of Rs. 1,500.
Upload a preliminary research idea (not exceeding 1,000 words) along with the application.
Shortlisted candidates appear for the APET - 90 minutes, 100 MCQs (50 general + 50 subject-specific), no negative marking.
Candidates who qualify APET (or are exempted due to valid national-level exam scores) appear for the FRC Interview (30 marks).
Selected candidates receive an admission letter on the Amity admission microsite.
Pay the semester fee and complete registration/orientation within the stipulated time.
