Ques. Is prior knowledge of Chinese required to apply for BA (Hons.) Chinese at BHU?
Ans. No prior knowledge of Chinese is required. The programme is designed to take students from beginner level to advanced proficiency over 3 years. However, a genuine interest in the Chinese language and culture is essential given the intensive nature of the course.
Ques. With only 4 seats, how competitive is admission to BA (Hons.) Chinese at BHU?
Ans. Admission is extremely competitive. In 2025, the General category CUET cutoff was 274 out of 400 across all rounds. Students must score very high in CUET to secure one of the 4 available seats. It is advisable to also apply to other universities as a backup.
Ques. What career opportunities are available after BA (Hons.) Chinese from BHU?
Ans.
