BHU BDS Scholarships 2026

BDS students at BHU can avail a range of scholarships from the university, state government, and central government. Given the extremely low tuition fee, scholarships can effectively make the programme nearly free for eligible students. UP domicile students in particular benefit significantly from the UP Government Scholarship, which can cover fees and provide additional maintenance allowance.

BHU BDS Placement 2026

BDS from BHU does not follow a traditional campus placement model, as dental graduates typically pursue private practice, government dental officer positions, or postgraduate studies (MDS). However, the strong brand value of BHU and the clinical exposure during the programme significantly enhance career prospects.

The Faculty of Dental Sciences provides extensive clinical training through the attached dental hospital, which sees a high patient footfall. This prepares students well for independent practice or competitive exams for government jobs and MDS admissions.

Fees and Financial Aid:

Pursuing BDS from BHU is altogether a great experience. We've huge patient exposure and so much to learn. And the theory part becomes much easier when you yourself start practicing from third year only on patients. The faculty is very supportive in teaching. And there are numerous camps also in neighbouring areas. The campus is breathtakingly beautiful with so more greenery and we have our own replica of kashi vishwanath in campus which is a major tourist spot.

Fees and Financial Aid:

As this is a central university, the fee structure is very minimal here. One can study paying around only 25k-30k yearly including the hostel fee. Fees hike policy is not as seen and appreciated here in BHU. As well one can apply for various scholarship programs depending on their state residence. Uttar Pradesh students can apply for UP scholarship and this is a very big help and support which government offers to any candidate. Nearly INR 32k scholarships have been received by students this year. One must be very careful filling scholarship forms because if any mistake happened in that, then that may become a huge problem for students and that is very difficult to be corrected and updated here. Campus jobs as such are not offered here but students are paid during the internship period and a very good salary every month once they got to do Post graduation from here.
