Q1. What is the difference between B.Com and B.Com (Hons.) at JIIT Noida?
Ans. Under the NEP 2020 framework, both are part of the same programme. Students who exit after 3 years receive a B.Com degree, while those who complete all 4 years are awarded the B.Com (Hons./Research) degree. The 4-year Hons. degree involves additional research or specialisation components in the final year.
Q2. Can students from Science or Arts stream apply for B.Com (Hons.) at JIIT Noida?
Ans. Yes, the B.Com (Hons.) programme at JIIT Noida is open to students from all streams including Science, Commerce, and Arts. The only requirement is a minimum of 60% aggregate marks in 10+2 (55% for SC/ST).
Q3. Is CUET-UG mandatory for B.Com (Hons.) admission at JIIT Noida?
Ans. No, CUET-UG is not mandatory. JIIT Noida offers two routes: direct merit based on 10+2 marks, and CUET-UG scores. Candidates can apply under either or both routes.
Q4. What is the total fee for B.Com (Hons.) at JIIT Noida?
Ans. The total academic fee for the 4-year B.Com (Hons.) programme is Rs. 10,35,000. Additionally, a one-time non-refundable admission charge of Rs. 15,000 and a refundable caution money of Rs. 20,000 are payable at admission. The total cost (excluding hostel) is approximately Rs. 10,50,000.
Q5. What career paths are available after B.Com (Hons.) from JIIT Noida?
Ans. B.Com (Hons.) graduates can pursue careers in accounting, finance, banking, taxation, auditing, and management. The CA Foundation alignment of the curriculum gives students a strong foundation for pursuing CA, CMA, or CS qualifications. Graduates can also pursue MBA, M.Com, or other postgraduate programmes. JIIT's strong placement network with 166+ companies provides opportunities in finance and management roles.
Q6. Does JIIT Noida offer hostel facilities for B.Com (Hons.) students?
Ans. Yes, hostel accommodation is available for all students including B.Com (Hons.) students. The hostel charges are Rs. 1,10,000 per semester (including food and laundry). Accommodation is limited and allotted on merit basis. Rooms are available in double occupancy and dormitory formats.
