They also have different requirements for the jobs. In ECE you just need to maintain a good CGPA, with the basics fully memorized and you are good to go. For EEE and getting a government job like PSU, you need to apply for GATE and get a good rank and score. Placement in the ECE stream is easier than the EEE stream. The placements of NIT Meghalaya are a little above Nagaland. You can change your course in NIT Meghalaya to ECE even after selecting EEE in the first semester.
