The Amity PhD Entrance Test (APET) is a 90-minute written test consisting of 100 MCQs (no negative marking) divided into two sections: Section 1 covers General Aptitude (research methodology, English, logical reasoning, quantitative analysis) for 50 marks, and Section 2 covers subject-specific Agriculture questions at Masters/UGC-NET level for 50 marks. Candidates who have qualified UGC-NET/JRF, CSIR-NET, or GATE are exempt from the APET and appear directly for the Faculty Research Committee (FRC) Interview.
