The module structure of my course was quite advanced and holistic. The affordable accommodation was also one of the reasons. The geographical aspect played a crucial role as well since the university is very close to London. The QS rankings were quite instrumental in deciding. The affordable fee structure did drive me more towards this university since I had offers from other top universities as well. Should have pursued a STEM course in your bachelor's subject if you are opting for a technical or techno-functional course. I applied to 2-5 universities in the UK and received offers from 2 universities. I got offers for two different programmes at the University of Surrey. However, I joined for business analytics due to my interest. I was shortlisted at all universities for 1-2 programmes. Rejection at some universities was due to a mismatch in course vs my experience & educational qualifications. Also, I applied very late so all the processes were very slow. Yes, I connected with my friends in the UK and got positive feedback about the university specific to my course, business analytics. Eligibility: acceptable english score > 80 and educational qualification with professional experience as an add-on. You need to provide a cover page and resume with all educational certificates and work experience certificates. They will review and shortlist. The university was very nice based on feedback and online reviews. 30 days. It's better to apply as early as possible to have a sufficient buffer. Min 2 months prior to uni start date. I applied to the Feb intake. 1 month required for sanction of educational loan or keeping amount secured in FD. Process is online and you can find the status on the website itself. I applied for the following universities: University of Iowa - Admitted Northeastern University – Admitted University of Pittsburgh - Admitted The George Washington University - Admitted UC, San Diego – Rejected (I applied in the last round; mostly I feel the cohort was already full) University of Massachusetts, Amherst – rejected (Could not think of any other reason than applying in the last round and also it being very competitive with less fees) I felt it was the best among the colleges that I received admission from, looking at options like scholarships, overall fees and also the curriculum. Application process included just applying to the college through the website for my course and then sharing the IELTS score as well as WES score and then I received admission. IELTS/TOEFL were accepted and there was no need for GRE/GMAT during the time I applied. The overall admission process was fairly straightforward and easy to do. Fall 2023 was my intake; I had applied in March 2023 and got the decision within 15-20 days of applying. After submitting my application online, I had to submit my IELTS score card with them and then they asked for a WES evaluation to understand my BTech academics.
