- The Courses and facility for Computer Science/Engineering are very good.

- The on-campus placement drives are not that much favorable to Indian (non-immigrants) students.
Course Curriculum
- The Course syllabus is updated and relevant. The concerned faculties are very good. Typically, 1-2 classes per day. Timings vary for the entire day. The average number of students per class is 50-60.
Admission Experience
- I wanted to do an M.S. in Embedded Systems. So I went through the course structure and faculty as well as ranking, and then chose Syracuse University.

Faculty
- The faculty-to-student ratio is 30-40:1. The faculty are friendly and easily approachable. Ehat Ercanli, Edmund Yu. Jim Fawcett, Roger Chen, and Garett Katz are some of the professors who left an incredible impact on me.
Campus Life
- Campus life is good. There are enough extracurricular activities like IEEE, various countries' clubs like the Indian students club. Library facilities are also nice. Sports stadiums for Tennis, Basketball, Football, and Swimming are also very good.
Part Time Jobs
- The students usually earn $ 12-15 per hour in on-campus jobs as a dining employee, Boostore employee, or residential security aide (RSA). The students must obtain their SSN (Social Security Number) from the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) in order to apply for a job. The students can find a job on the university's job portal.20 hours p[art-time work are allowed.
- CPT (Curricular) Practical Training is allowed for 40 hours per week. On-campus part-time jobs are plentiful and easy to find. The TA, RA, and DA positions are very competitive. So only a few students can secure them.
Placement
- 90-95% of students are employed within 6 months of graduation. Average salaries are 100K-125K dollars per year for graduating students. Students typically find jobs through Indeed, LinkedIn, and other job portals, such as Monster.
Accommodation
- There are sites like Apartment Finder or SU Living, as well as Orange Housing, or private homeowners are also available. Syracuse Quality Living is one such agency that provides accommodation. The rental costs are typically around $ 500-$ 600 per month.
