How do you try to bring in a practical approach toward the subjects?

Fostering practical learning, we've forged strategic partnerships and collaborations with diverse industries to provide tangible insights. Our students embark on industry visits and engage in real-world exposure through these MOUs. Situated in the industrially vibrant Hosur, our campus maximizes proximity to prominent entities like Ashok Leyland and TVS, ensuring students gain knowledge of the latest trends. These initiatives bridge the gap between theoretical concepts and practical application, preparing our students for the dynamic challenges of the professional landscape.

How does your department prepare students for higher education and placements?

Our Mechanical Engineering program ensures comprehensive education covering engineering mechanics, thermodynamics, design, automobile engineering, and material analysis. Collaborating with numerous industry leaders through MOUs, we provide students with a rich practical training experience. Our primary objective is to achieve a 100% placement rate by imparting rigorous education and training and aligning our curriculum with the dynamic needs of the mechanical engineering field. Through these initiatives, we equip our students with the skills and knowledge necessary for successful careers and further studies in the realm of mechanical engineering.

How do you establish healthy relations with the students and fellow faculty?

Our aim is to create an environment where everyone has the freedom to learn and grow, even through mistakes. Students facing challenges are encouraged to approach any faculty member or reach out to me directly for assistance. Maintaining a consistently kind demeanor towards both faculty and students fosters an atmosphere of trust and confidence. This approach assures them that support is readily available whenever needed. Additionally, kindness promotes open communication, facilitating a smooth and effective exchange of ideas and information among all members of the academic community.

What do you see as the department’s greatest strengths?

The department's primary strength lies in its commitment to optimizing every moment of the student's academic journey. Faculty members conduct captivating lectures to ensure a comprehensive understanding of subjects. Regular assignments and tasks are assigned, promoting focus and preventing time-wasting among students. This dedication to efficient learning and engagement enhances the overall quality of education in the department.

What valuable advice would you like to give the students for a prosperous career ahead?

Our emphasis is on instilling positive energy in students, transcending the pursuit of academic success. We encourage them to focus not only on exam-oriented studies but also to adopt a positive outlook and acquire skills that will prove invaluable throughout their lives. Success in their careers is not solely contingent on academic achievements but on developing a holistic skill set for a thriving future.

Do you have any extracurricular programs to enhance the skills of the students?

In the twenty-first century, our educational mission extends beyond academics to nurture the "whole student." Extracurricular involvement is a vital tool for this holistic development. While academic excellence demands concentration, an uninterrupted focus can be challenging. Students require breaks for cognitive rejuvenation and knowledge retention. Exclusively focusing on academics may induce boredom and stress. Extracurricular activities act as refreshing intervals, offering students relief from monotony. Our approach recognizes that a balanced student is not just an academic achiever but an individual equipped with diverse skills, cultivated through extracurricular programs, ensuring a well-rounded educational experience.
