Mr. S. Ramchandra Rao, principal of Sri Indu College of Education, has been working as principal since 2002. His highest qualification is an M.Sc.M.Ed. from Osmania University in 1990. At the start of his career, he worked as a junior lecturer at C V Raman Junior College from 1990 to 1995 and as a degree college lecturer at W.C.C.M. Degree College from 1995 to 2001. After that, he moved to Sri Indu College of Education as a lecturer from 2002 to 2008 and was promoted to principal from 2008 to date.
Till now, he has trained over 2000 students in the B Ed course, and he has helped lots of students achieve government jobs in various teaching posts.

You have held key positions at education institutes throughout your professional career. What are the key factors that keep you connected with the education sector?
I started my journey in the administrative sector but by god’s grace, I moved to the education sector to train and help the needy. I am enjoying contributing my service to the education sector.
What career options are available for students after pursuing courses from your college?
They select professional teachers, both the central government and state government teachers. Also, they can apply for residential schools, state residential school teaching posts, government schools, and Vidya volunteers. Students can establish institutions in the private sector. After completion of their B.Ed. Education, they appear for the master of education, or M.Ed., courses. They have such opportunities.
How did you train yourself/faculty to deliver this program to the students?
Actually, the training program is as per OU Alpana. We provide the training program. Each semester has some practice as well as theory classes. At the time of the practicum session, they go to take the micro teaching and teaching practice at the school level, the microteaching at our college level, and all the record work and project work. So many programs are there in the B.Ed. curriculum, which is the EPC 1, EPC 2, EPC 3, and EPC 4 curriculum. EPC1 covers the areas of communication skills, yoga, and life skills. In the second EPC 2, ICT mediation and teaching and learning That is, digital technology and teaching methods In the EPC2, In The EPC 3 is having a practicum session also. That is one kind of project work students go to take in the project work, which is drama and art education, which they go to apply in the school-level curriculum. They go to teach with the help of drama and art. Practically. The last one in EPC4 is reflective teaching. That is mainly to do the project work for them, whatever they are—the articles and magazines or any of the fiction or any articles. What their reflection is, what their perception is of those articles, they do one project for them, and that is the reflective project. There are four projects. total of four semesters. From the second semester on, we implement the teaching practice session. Teaching practice session at school level. All the trainees complete the work according to the university schedule.
We will teach as per the curriculum that is prescribed by the NCTE (National Council of Teacher Education) and Osmania University regulations.

Could you provide an overview of the facilities available to the students ?
The infrastructure and human resources are adequate and.We have all the labs, classrooms, and furniture. Everything is fine. A psychology lab, a natural resource lab, a Technological lab, a social sciences lab, and a cultural activities lab are also available. And natural resources labs have different methodologies: mathematics and biological sciences; Telugu; English; social sciences; and physics. We do have visiting rooms and playground facilities.
How does the college encourage students to participate in extracurricular activities and leadership opportunities?
Yes, we give them activities in the EPC 1 and 3 programs, and we encourage them.
One more paper they have in the curriculum called Health and Physical Education is there. In that one, we give them the opportunity to organize sports and games, etc. Extracurricular activities We celebrate all festivals at the college.
How does the college stay updated with the latest teaching methodologies and Educational research?
We know the teaching methodologies, innovative methods, and constructive approaches. And one more thing: the learner participation method. Sir. And technology has adopted methods. Sir. And one more project is there that is not important to the research project's work.
We do teach action research projects. It is more useful to the trainees for further education.
In that research work project, in classroom areas with problems, they go to significance, find out the things, and take the research work areas.
And sometimes we use the LCD projectors for technological projects. Because the Indian system is in the digital era , the learners and trainees also practice in that field.
Teaching methodologies will also be updated based on technology.
Are there career counseling and guidance services available to students to help them make informed career choices?
We are providing a subject called Life Skills as part of the curriculum in the fourth semester. The guidance and counseling paper is there. At the time we teach this paper, we give them guidance, suggestions, and the whole thing. The separate faculty is in the college.
Actually, the intake is 100. The faculty has 16 members. In that one, we will discuss the mentor process. Mentoring. Each of the 10 members takes on mentorship and leadership in a progressive manner. Each faculty member monitors 10 students. They will be mentored. Everything is to keep up the monitoring and supervision and train them.
Any insights into how your college could be more welcoming to students of different races or economic backgrounds?
Through guidance and counseling, we give proper suggestions and encourage students of lower economic backgrounds. We will make sure they will not have any problems here, and we do have an anti-ragging department as well.
The government will provide fee reimbursement for the students.
And since the college fee structure is $40,000 per year, we will provide two installments.
We will consider more than two installments based on the individual and their situation.
