Global Group Of Institutes Amritsar

Any insights into how your institute could be more welcoming to students of different races or economic backgrounds?

Diversity prepares students to be able to work in any setting in the world. Students wishing to be part of the Global Group of Institutes would be comfortable working with and interacting with different types of individuals. Diversity encourages creative thinking. Through a simple conversation with students coming from different regions, states, and countries, they can learn to investigate unknown ideas, be innovative and consider perspectives they may not have encountered before. Diversity also affects a student's academic, and social experiences by enabling them to work effortlessly with people from other races, ethnicities, cultures, and economic backgrounds. This leads to greater awareness, understanding and acceptance of different beliefs and customs. Our campus cultural diversity enriches the student’s educational experience, improves their communication, and better prepares them for their work life.

What do you think your roles and responsibilities to the institute and the students are?

As the Dean Student Welfare, I am in charge of students services and their on-campus activities. It is my duty to provide sports for students, address students' behaviour, coordinate admissions and overlook the new students' orientation. The dean is also the chairperson of the committee to prevent ragging. It is also the dean's responsibility to encourage a healthy and lively positive relationship among students. I do that by planning and organizing various extracurricular activities.

When you first came to Global Group of lnstitutes, what was your vision for the institute? Has it evolved over time, and how far along in implementing that vision are you?

When I initially started out, I wanted to encourage the students to educate and prepare them to reach the highest levels of academia. I wish all of my students to attain numerous academic achievements and success in different competitive examinations. We are trying our hardest to achieve this target, but it will take some time.

Any suggestions you would like to give to the current youth and the aspiring students?

Students should keep the following points in mind. Skills like communication, teamwork, critical thinking and flexibility have always been important for work and life. Rapid advances in technology are transforming the world of work and millions of jobs around the globe will go unfilled due to a lack of skills. So learn new skills and upskill when needed.

How do you tend to establish a healthy relation and environment in your institute?

We can foster healthy relationships and a positive environment in our institute by holding regular meetings and providing a safe space for both faculty and students. We also try to celebrate the achievements and the work of students and staff and build trusting relationships to create a supportive classroom environment.
