IIM Jammu 2021 PI round will be conducted via zoom call as the pandemic situation does not allow a face-to-face meeting with the candidates. Like other IIMs, IIM Jammu PI and GD rounds are held through CAP counseling. After the successful completion of CAP counseling, if any seat/ seats are left vacant, the institute then conducts IIM SAP for candidates who could not qualify for the CAP counseling. The process remains the same for the IIM CAP and SAP and the PI round and GD round questions are also the same. 

The interview round for the IIM Jammu majorly involves questions related to personality and General awareness as the majority of the candidates applying at the institute are fresh minds. The PI round of IIM Jammu consists of 2 or 3 panels coming from top IIMs such as IIM Lucknow, IIM Ahmedabad, IIM Kolkata, etc. The panel in the PI round judges the candidates on the following aspects:

• Verbal communication
• Eye contact
• Body language
• Interruptions
• Content

Note: As the PI round is online, please keep in mind that the panel might not open their camera and ask you to wait for a while between the meeting. Do not let yourself indulge in something you should not be doing in a meeting. This might be a trick to analyze you.

The questions asked by the panel in the PI round involve questions from your past academic records, work experience, general awareness, business, economy, etc. Before the PI round, the panel conducts a Group Discussion round where 8-10 candidates are given a particular topic and are given 5-10 minutes of time to think. There is no definite set of questions that could be asked in the GD round, the candidates must keep an eye on the latest happenings and questions asked in the previous year’s GD round. Given below are the 2019-20 GD questions of top IIMs in India that could be asked in the IIM Jammu GD/ PI 2021:

As Group Discussions are Crucial for Admissions, Learn How to Ease Them. Cracking the GD round is a bit tough as the panel constantly analyzes each and every candidate based on their interpersonal skills, ability to work in a team, and attitude. In this case, the candidate must know the important Tips & tricks to crack GD & WAT rounds in IIMs.

Once the GD round is over, the panel interacts with the candidates one-on-one for the Personal Interview round. The candidate must keep the following documents with him/ her before appearing in the Personal Interview round:
