What initiatives have been taken by your college to promote the spirit of entrepreneurship among students?

At CGIHM, we are deeply committed to nurturing the spirit of entrepreneurship and associated skills among our culinary students. Then there is a full-fledged Culinary Business Incubator on campus, where students can freely experiment with their culinary business ideas and bring them into reality. This incubator has well-equipped kitchens and experienced chefs and entrepreneurs to guide students on every step. We also encourage our students to participate in culinary competitions to showcase their innovative dishes and business acumen and the college regularly hosts business plan competitions where students present their culinary business ideas to a panel of judges, honing their presentation skills and receiving constructive feedback.

Apart from this, our college regularly hosts business pitching sessions and plan competitions to help students present their culinary business ideas to a panel of judges, hone their presentation skills and receive constructive feedback. And guest lectures too are organized on campus by inviting successful chefs and culinary entrepreneurs to share their journeys and insights and inspire our students followed by entrepreneurial workshops wherein they are taught how to create business plans, secure finance and develop unique culinary concepts. Last but not the least, we have established partnerships with local culinary establishments, for ensuring good internships and market research projects for students so that they can deep dive into market research, identify culinary trends and market demands and prepare themselves for the real-world culinary landscape.
