Prof. Dr. Pooja Arora has been working as the Principal Director of Pharmacy Department at Global Research Institute of Pharmacy, Yamuna Nagar, Haryana for the past 4 years. She has a rich 23 years of work experience in the educational sector. And she has done Graduation and Postgraduation in the discipline of Pharmacy as part of her educational qualification. At present, she is pursuing a PhD in Pharmaceutical Science.

Which key aspects have kept you connected with the education sector?

Throughout my professional career, I have held key positions at various renowned institutes, and the chief aspects that have kept me closely connected with the education sector are my profound passion for teaching, continuous opportunities this domain provides me to learn, grow and interact with the young and creative minds and satisfactory feeling that comes when I see our students succeeding. 

From the early stages of my life, this noble profession holds a very special place in my heart because it not only offers me a rewarding and welcoming platform to engage with the vibrant and youths generation who are full of innovative ideas and lot of potential, but also gives me immense joy while I guide and nurture these budding talents and empower them to recognize their true capabilities for a positive future and also to become a successful, responsible and well-rounded individuals. 

And believe me it is totally a gratifying experience witnessing the growth and development of our students when they progress through their academic journey. Apart from this, by engrossing myself in the dynamic educational world, I can stay updated with the latest developments, advancements, and trends of this field and deliver the finest quality knowledge to my students. Last but not the least, being a Principal, I believe in leading by example and my dedication to continuous learning sets a positive precedent for both my colleagues and students.

What makes your institute unique and special as compared to other Pharmacy colleges?

The very first factor that makes our college unique is that we are affiliated with the prestigious Pandit Dayal University of Health Sciences, which is a government university and famous for its excellence in the field of education and research. Additionally, GRIP has received the prestigious NAAC accreditation with an A+ rating, and it clearly defines the high quality of education we provide to young minds and state-of-the-art infrastructure and facilities we have for them. 

We are also one of the top North Indian institutions which offers medical courses and we have a wonderful academic team of highly experienced, versatile and educated teachers to train students as per industry standards and nurture an intellectually stimulating environment for ambitious youths to flourish.

And due to the same reason, our students remain in great demand in reputed companies. Renowned Dabur, Himalaya, and Acko Healthcare are some of our top talent hunters and during a recent placement drive, a whopping salary package of INR 6.5 LPA was offered to our students.

I would like to advise my dear students and youths of our society to believe in themselves and their abilities. Also, have confidence in your potential and never let self-doubt hold you back from achieving short and long-term life goals. And we all know that positivity is key to overcoming challenges, so stay pragmatic, confident and motivated on your journey and focused, perseverant and dedicated towards your life goals because sincere efforts are needed to turn dreams into reality. 

Apart from this, being a student of Pharmacy, you will be venturing into a field that offers abundant opportunities and as India is rapidly emerging as a global platform for pharmaceutical companies, so your skills and knowledge will always be in high demand.
