Savitri Devi Yerramsetty has been working as the Principal and Branch Operations Head of Avinash College of Commerce, Himayathnagar, Telangana. She has done B.Sc. in Computers in 1999 from VMC Mahila Vidya Peeth of Visakhapatnam, M.Sc in Computers from Lankapalli Bullayya PG College - Visakhapatnam in 2001 and Psychology from BRAOU of Hyderabad in 2022 along with B.Ed in 2012 from Karunodaya College of Education - Hyderabad as part of her education. She is also a CTET qualified educationist, highly enthusiastic, vision oriented, committed, leader and excellent administrator with 18 years of wonderful experience in the education sector. She is proficient in developing strategies to increase the institution's productivity and quality right from inception of the institution to its exponential growth. 

She is also an author of a competitive book for aspirants preparing for the Central Teacher Eligibility Test and State TET, Teacher Trainer and Youtuber with core competency in online training and a renowned name in CTET/ TET category on Unacademy Online platform as a top educator during 2018 -2020 with 700 + recorded videos, 19 thousand followers across India, 5+ lakh views and 10+ million minutes of watchtime of the subject videos and online classes on CTET/ TET subjects . 

Apart from this, she has worked as a Vice Principal and Project Coordinator with Telangana based NGO Akshay Akruti, which is working dedicatedly to improve the life of others since 1996. From the time she joined here, she has been instrumental in roping in MNC companies, prominent software industries, institutions and individuals in supporting the education, food and shelter for hundreds of underprivileged and hearing impaired children of Ashray Akruti.

Our Avinash College of Commerce is offering 2 latest programs at present namely B.Com and BBA and both in the discipline of Business Analytics, so that students can develop unique skills and stand apart from the crowd.

As in today's world, Business Analytics is an emerging field that integrates data analysis, statistical methods, and predictive modeling with technology tools to gain insights and make informed decisions for business operations. Apart from this, Business Analytics employs above methods to detect patterns, trends, and relationships that can optimize performance while simultaneously informing strategic decision-making processes. 

Which factors make the programs of your college worth pursuing and best for students?

Our recently introduced BBA and B.Com courses equips the students with in-demand skills, data-driven decision-making ability and also provides them foundation for further studies. Along with this, our programs offer enormous career opportunities to youths with lucrative salaries. Hence I would say, the skills it imparts in young and ambitious minds followed by learning and employment opportunities it provides to them makes our courses worth pursuing for students.

What are some of the best practices of the courses that are being offered by your institution? 

We truly and totally understand the agile approach in education, hence focus on imparting best quality technical and management knowledge and developing analytical and communication skills in our students. Therefore I would say that our approach of delivering knowledge to students is one of the unique features of our Undergraduate courses.

How do the programs of your institute ensure the future preparedness of students?

Our college has adopted the approach of experiential learning wherein focus remains on learning by doing and delivering knowledge as per industry standards and updates. And the prime objective here is to strengthen the concepts of students so that they can apply their classroom learning to resolve real world challenges.

How did you train yourself and your faculty members to efficiently deliver programs to students?

Although all our faculty members are highly educated and experienced in their respective domains, the programs we are delivering needs practical exposure with changing times and needs. Hence Faculty Development Programs are conducted from time to time to upgrade the knowledge of our teachers and we also encourage them to publish research papers, attend conferences and workshops and transfer the learned knowledge to students by organizing Student Development Programs.

How do you build a strong connection between your college courses and industry demands?

For the purpose of establishing a strong connection between our college courses and corporate demands and bridge the gaps, we have collaborated with the experts of renowned industries and signed MOUs to train our students, ensure best internship and placements opportunities for them and also to conduct Students Development Programs. 

What challenges have you faced while inculcating new courses in your curriculum?

The most prominent challenge for us while we were inculcating the BBA and B.Com course to our curriculum, was recruiting faculties with the required domain knowledge and technical skills.

On what kinds of projects your students are currently working on under newly introduced courses?

Our students are working on diverse kinds of projects related to Excel, Python, R Programming, Power Bi and Tableau, Cyber Security followed by Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning.
