GATE 2026 XE (Engineering Sciences) with solutions pdf is available here, scheduled for slot 1 on February 7th from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM. 

Candidates have to choose 2 sections out of 8 optional engineering science core subjects along with 2 compulsory sections, i.e General Aptitude and Engineering Mathematics. The total marks for the paper are 100, where each core section covers 35 marks. Mathematics and Aptitude sections are worth ‌30 marks. 

The GATE 2026 XE Question paper was considered moderately difficult. It mainly depends on the sections chosen by candidates. A score of 70 in the XE paper is likely to be ranked among the top 100.
