NIT Meghalaya GATE Cut off 2025 is the minimum score the candidates require to get admission to M.Tech courses offered at the institute. As per the previous year’s data, competitive programs like Computer Science & Engineering and VLSI & Embedded Systems have had higher GATE cutoffs, ranging between 350 and 500 for the General category. On the other hand, less competitive programs may have slightly lower cutoffs, between 300 and 450. In 2024, as per the last-round cutoff, the top three M.E./M.Tech specializations at NIT Meghalaya and their cutoff scores for the General AI category students were:

  • M.Tech. in Fluids and Thermal Engineering – 398
  • M.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering – 364
  • M.Tech. in VLSI and Embedded Systems – 358.

Candidates must note that admission to M.Tech courses at NIT Meghalaya will be granted on the basis of GATE scores. However, NIT graduates with a B.Tech degree and a CGPA of 8.0 or above can apply without GATE Scores. For NIT Meghalaya M.Tech admissions, eligible candidates must register for GATE CCMT counselling apart from registering for M.Tech admissions on the official website of NIT Meghalaya.
