GATE 2024 Civil Engineering (CE) Paper Analysis is out for shift 1 and 2. This year, GATE 2024 civil paper was conducted by IISc Banglore. According to the students, both GATE 2024 civil engineering paper shift 1 and 2 were moderate in difficulty level. The paper were lenghty and conceptual based. Unlike previous year, the number of MSQs were 5 in shift 1 and 4 in shift 2 exam. - The overall difficulty level reported for the forenoon session was moderate.
- One-mark questions were very easy to attempt but the questions with two marks were a little time-consuming.
- There were more conceptual questions than calculation-based questions. So, qualifying the exam was easy, but scoring was tough as stated by the appearing students.
- An average attempt of 42-45 questions was considered fine.
- Environment and Fluid, Aptitude and Mathematics, MTLB were among the easy to moderate scoring topics while Soil Mechanics, Transportation were among the difficult questions.
