GATE 2024 Civil Engineering (CE) Paper Analysis is out for shift 1 and 2. This year, GATE 2024 civil paper was conducted by IISc Banglore. According to the students, both GATE 2024 civil engineering paper shift 1 and 2 were moderate in difficulty level. The paper were lenghty and conceptual based. Unlike previous year, the number of MSQs were 5 in shift 1 and 4 in shift 2 exam. GATE 2024 Answer Key for Civil Engineering (CE) will be released by February 21, 2024. Candidates will however be able to check memory-based GATE 2024 Answer Key, released by various coaching institutes here. GATE 2024 Result will be announced on March 17, 2024. Candidates who qualify the exam will be able to download their scorecard from March 21, 2024.

  • The overall difficulty level reported for the forenoon session was moderate. 
  • One-mark questions were very easy to attempt but the questions with two marks were a little time-consuming.
  • There were more conceptual questions than calculation-based questions. So, qualifying the exam was easy, but scoring was tough as stated by the appearing students.
  • An average attempt of 42-45 questions was considered fine.
  • Environment and Fluid, Aptitude and Mathematics, MTLB were among the easy to moderate scoring topics while Soil Mechanics, Transportation were among the difficult questions.
