IIT Delhi is one of the best engineering institutes in India. Only the fortunate are able to secure a seat in its flagship M.Tech. programme. Admission to M.Tech is based on GATE Cutoff.
Candidates who secure marks more than the cutoff decided by the institute are eligible for the admission process. IIT Delhi conducts its own admission process for MTech admission. The selection rounds include interview/GD. A final merit list is then prepared on the basis of performance in GATE and subsequent selection rounds.

IIT Delhi Selection Criteria for M.Tech.
- The first round of selection involves shortlisting candidates on the basis of GATE cutoff, as specified for the programme.
- Shortlisted candidates proceed towards interview/ GD round at IIT Delhi.
- For direct admission in M.Tech (without test/interview), minimum educational qualification is 75% marks or 8.5 CGPA on a 10-point scale with GATE score higher than the cutoff.
- Other candidates will be selected on the basis on Test/Interview with minimum 60% marks or 6.75 CGPA on a 10- point scale in their qualifying degree along with Cutoff GATE score.
IIT Delhi M.Tech Admissions 2020
- The registrations for IIT Delhi are underway.
- Candidates have to register themselves through GATE COAP 2020.
- GATE COAP 2018 provides a common platform through which the candidates will be offered admissions from the various IITs.
