
New Delhi: The Central Board of Education (CBSE) has released instructions for CBSE 10th and 12th Board Exams 2024 Forms. The notification states that the schools must upload the candidates' correct dates of birth, photos, fields of study, etc in the exam form.
The CBSE Guidelines for CBSE 10 and CBSE 12 Board Exam 2024 provide crucial information for students intending to register for the board examinations, ensuring a clear understanding of the procedures and requirements involved.
According to the CBSE notification, "Changes in subject in class 12th are not permitted because students are required to study the same subject in class 11th as in class 12th."
Additionally, it states that "The requirements of additional/ optional subjects should be decided in class 9th/ 11th and such subjects should be correctly uploaded at the time of the registration in class 9th/ 11th".
Guidelines for CBSE 10, 12 Board Exam 2024 Forms
- Schools are required to make students aware that the sixth optional subject, which was not studied by the student in classes 9 and 11, may not be added in CBSE classes 10 and 12.
- The subject position should be carefully chosen and uploaded appropriately in CBSE Exam Form 2023.
- After the final subject submission, students must note that the subject positions cannot be changed.
- Schools should exercise the appropriate prudence when uploading photos at the time of registration.
- It is crucial to upload the accurate date of birth from the student's school record since stakeholders regard the date of birth on the Class 10th Board certificate as significant and valid.
CBSE Board Exams 2024 LOC Registration Open till September 19
According to the announcement, the CBSE board has started accepting LOC for the CBSE Board Exams 2024 from August 18, 2023 to September 19, 2023 without a late charge. The exam board will accept LOC from September 19 to September 25, 2023 with a late fee.
The CBSE Board Exams 2024 LOC can be submitted through the e-Pariksha link available at cbse.gov.in. The List of Candidates (LOC) will be prepared on the basis of details submitted by the respective schools.
Informing about the process, the CBSE official notice read, "Staff engaged for filling up of details should be made aware of all the guidelines which are laid down in the said circular to avoid mistakes. Parents may also be briefed about the importance of correct data and the consequences if wrong data is submitted”.

Schools need to fill out the required information of all the teachers in the OASIS portal to submit LOC data. As per CBSE, all affiliated schools are advised to submit the LOC to avoid delay in the further exam process.
