CBSE Class 12th Commerce: Accountancy

Accountancy is one of the most crucial subjects in CBSE Class 12th Commerce. It requires students to learn a hefty number of formulae and have an unambiguous hold on the Accountancy Theories.

Syllabus and Paper Pattern: Accountancy Paper for CBSE Class 12th Commerce is divided into two parts viz., Part A and Part B with an internal choice provided in Part B as mentioned below.

Preparation:

• Students should be well versed with the concept of Journal Entry, as it covers the maximum portion of the questions asked. 
• Make sure you understand the formulae rather than just remembering them. This will help you utilize them more efficiently instead of mugging them and their uses.
• Proper formats and presentation are important. The way you present your Journals, Ledgers, Trial Balance sheet etc will help you fetch full marks assigned to the particular question.
• Do not ignore the theory part if your goal is a perfect 100 in the CBSE Class 12th Commerce Board Exam. Topics like ‘Dissolution of Partnership’, ‘Dissolution of Partnership Firm’, Computerised Accountancy etc, are few examples of theory portion of the CBSE Class 12th Accountancy syllabus.

Syllabus and Paper Pattern: CBSE Class 12th Business Studies Board Exam will include 2 types of Short Answer Questions, Long Answer Type Question and also a Source based or a Case Study based Questions.

Preparation:

• Get a good hold on your theory. Read more case studies and recent trends. This will help you frame your answers more properly with facts wherever necessary.
• Examples are your friends. Try assigning relevant examples to the underlying theory you are writing.
• Consider presenting your answers in bullet points. This will make sure you don’t miss on any important point and also help the examiner to identify your points more clearly and award you the marks accordingly.

CBSE Class 12th Commerce: Economics

CBSE Class 12th Economics is one of those subjects which is not easy to cram. It has both Qualitative as well as Quantitative aspects which test the students on their Logical and Analytical Reasoning skills.

Syllabus and Paper Pattern: CBSE Class 12th Economics Exam will be divided in two parts viz., Part A: Macroeconomics and Part B: Indian Economic Development. The question paper will be composed of Long Answer Type Questions and 2 types of Short Answer Questions.

Preparation: 

• Practice the vocabulary of Economics. Use the proper jargons and terminologies wherever possible to make the answer more credible.
• The theory for CBSE Class 12th Economics is vast, hence proceed with making short notes that will help in quick revision when short on time.
• Practice Diagrams thoroughly. Label each diagram properly following with a brief explanation or description of the same.
• CBSE Class 12th Economics, as much as it contains theory portion, it has a significant amount of numerical (Quantitative) portion as well. Note down the formulae and practice relevant questions.

Apart from the above mentioned subject wise tips, remembering these general tips will help you plan your studies properly for the upcoming CBSE Class 12th Board Exam 2022 Term II.

• Syllabus: Understand your syllabus thoroughly, skim out the easy topics from the difficult ones and focus your study accordingly.

• Schedule: Create and maintain a proper study routine with ample time for study, revision and rest.

• Practice: For every exam, solve Previous Year Question Papers or Sample Question Papers to get the exam temperament as well as work on your weak areas.

• Formulae: Create a separate mini notebook for jotting down formulae, it will help in the long run and will act as an easy access to the formulae whenever you need it.

• Accuracy and Precision: Apart from your answers being lengthy or elaborate, make sure they are precise and to the point. Use bullets to mention important points. Highlight with underline or a highlighter the points that are coherent to the question asked.
