- College pub is not open on weekends
Campus Life
- Around 7 campuses my college has, but St. Lucia is the main one.
- Available facilities: library, sports, and medical—around 6 libraries in our main campus and way too many sports facilities, as well as a good and easily accessible medical facility.
- All festivals of all cultures are celebrated and almost every day something is happening on campus. Best, in my opinion, is market day, where all clubs set up their display and show what happens in the clubs

- UQ Science Leaders: An opportunity for science students at UQ to become mentors or tutors for the high school or undergrad students
- No Racial discrimination in and around the campus
Dislikes
- The tuition fees is heavy, as it keeps increasing every semester
- Part time job opportunities inside campus is pretty competitive for international students
Campus Life
Two campuses, Library (7), Sports (cricket ground, football ground, basketball court, tennis, badminton, swimming pool), gym center, Zumba classes, physiotherapy classes UQ UNION, annual party, Christmas party.
Overview
project coincided with my experience. It is always about the project. Although my university ranking and department raking is very good but is was always the project for me.
Fees
I will never recommend anyone to start PhD on their own expenses. clear scholarship first. For stats its 40k.
Overview
I wanted to study International Relations or Conflict Studies and this university provided me with both degrees. Hence, I chose Peace & Conflict Studies. Moreover, UQ ranks in the top 50 universities in the world, and the course fees were quite affordable.
Fees
There are different fee structures for different courses. My course fee is $62,000 which is INR 30 lakhs for 2 years. However, for courses like Engineering, Business, or Architecture, the fees could be more.
Overview
UQ comes in top 50 universities of the world. UQ school of Pharmacy ranked in top 10 pharmacy colleges of the world. Academic background should be pharmacy with good score of GPA. No application fees but you have select your supervisor for better and smooth processing of your admission and scholarship application.
Fees
RTP scholarship or IPRS scholarship and tuition fees are approx $8000 per semester. To get scholarship its very difficult and too much competitive. Only 3 application rounds for scholarship and that too very much difficult to get. Person with good impact factor publications have more chances to get scholarship than others.
Overview
At the end of year 11, I attended a young scholars program through the University of Queensland. This introduced me to many different areas of study available at the university and I had my heart set on attending it. It is one of the highest-ranked universities in Australia, therefore I wanted to work hard to be accepted and see it as an achievement. I got an OP1 and was able to make it into my course.
Fees
Fees can be paid via a HECS debt which allows students to put off payment until they are sufficiently able to afford it. There are many scholarships available to not only international students but Australian residents, each of which has a different criteria for applying. For example, new students who achieve high academic scores may be eligible for the vice-chancellor's scholarship.
Overview
I applied for this university because it offered the best animal science course on this side of Australia and had international accreditation. I knew about UQ because it is a popular university for students. The university was my top 4 preferences when I applied through QTAC, I received the highest possible grade upon graduating and therefore was guaranteed to get into my course. The fees for my application were relatively small. Once I received my offer it was extremely easy to accept and the University provided clear instructions on how to set up my university account. They were also available to call.
Fees
The fees are paid semesterly and academic scholarships are available for international students. My fees are covered by the government in a HECS loan, which I will pay back when I get a reasonable paying job through tax with no interest or time limit. It is approximately $10,000 a year to study, but fees are higher for international students, due to a total lack of subsidy from the government.
Overview
To be able to get a provisional entry into the Doctor of medicine program. The University of Queensland is a highly reputable University around the world, and I am proud to say that I am studying at this University. This university opens opportunities for all types of achievers which is extremely accommodating.
Fees
The University of Queensland Considered me a domestic student which allowed me to get the domestic dee, which is much cheaper, however as I am not a permanent resident I do not receive the HECS as I cannot get a student loan. However, due to this, I am required to pay upfront semester by semester and we have a due date that we need to pay for everything by.
Overview
The University of Queensland is the most prestigious university in my area and is also the only university offering languages within my course which was essential for me as I was wanting to do French. I applied for 3 different universities as there are 3 main universities in my area however the university of Queensland was my preferred one.
Fees
The tuition fee varies from course to course however if you are an Australian citizen you can apply for HECS or FEE-HELP which I have both. There are many scholarships for both domestic and international students which are readily available on the UQ website but there are also emails sent out from the faculty you are in when applications for new scholarships are available.
