The Business program provides a broad education encompassing all functional areas of business, including business accounting, finance, marketing, sales, operations and human resources management. Today’s world is full of business opportunities; graduates of this program will have work-ready skills that will enable them to operate in multiple business departments, return to their family business or start their own business venture. They will also be able to bridge into the third year of the Business Administration – Management program, complete an 8-month post-graduate certificate, or bridge into the second year of the BBA – International Business Management degree program (subject to a 70% program average). 

This two-year diploma program will establish your understanding of business management and entrepreneurship and introduce you to the digital tools and the skills necessary to succeed in the modern economy. Through practical hands-on classroom activities, and close interactions with our experienced faculty, you will learn about making business decisions, planning, teamwork and utilizing relevant business computer applications.

The Business program is for students interested in obtaining an education in multiple business disciplines or developing a strong foundation in a functional area of business; are well-organized, can effectively work under tight timelines, problem solve, enjoy collaboration, teamwork and continuous learning; along with using computer applications and working in an office environment.

Students will gain knowledge and skills in contemporary global concepts, theories and business practices that are related to the functional areas of business: accounting, finance, human resources, marketing and operations. To ensure students are ready for the modern business environment, they will learn the new essential business skills of effective communication, ethics, customer service, collaboration and teamwork, using technology to be digitally fluent, demonstrating personal and social responsibility, resiliency, adaptability, along with positive attitudes and behaviours necessary for a global environment.

• OSSD or equivalent, ENG4C or ENG4U, any Gr 11 Math (C) or (U)
• If English is not your first language you must provide proof of English competency.

• Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD), or equivalent, or 19 years of age or older with mature student status (See Mature Student definition for details.)
• Grade 12 compulsory English, C (60%) or U (50%) , or equivalent, OR Conestoga College Preparatory Communications (COMM1250), or equivalent min 60%
• Grade 11 Mathematics, C (min 65%), M (U/C) (min 55%), or U (min 55%) or equivalent, OR Conestoga College Preparatory Mathematics (MATH1375) min 60%

• Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD), or equivalent, or a mature applicant
• English: Grade 12 C or U, or equivalent course
• Mathematics: Grade 12 C or U, or Grade 11 U or M, or equivalent course

• Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD), or equivalent, or mature student status (19 years or older)
