Conestoga College accommodation options are designed to support international students with safe, furnished, and well-located housing across select campuses in Ontario. The college offers on-campus residence facilities at Kitchener–Doon and Cambridge–Fountain Street campuses, while students studying at other campuses can choose from off-campus housing or homestay arrangements.

Students can choose between 2-bedroom suite-style rooms and open concept style rooms. The annual cost of Conestoga College accommodation varies from 7,840 CAD (5.19 lakhs) to 8,760  CAD (5.80 lakhs), depending on your room selection and payment method. The college also offers homestay facilities, collaborating with Canada Homestay Network Inc. (CHN)

Student insights from Reddit highlight that in the Kitchener-Waterloo region, housing remains competitive and expensive. Many international students report sharing basement units or high-density accommodations near the Doon campus to manage costs, with demand far exceeding supply.

Accommodation Tips from Current Students

  • Start early: Begin your housing search at least 2–3 months in advance, as affordable options fill up quickly.
  • Expect competition: The Kitchener–Waterloo housing market is tight and expensive; shared rooms or basement units are common among international students to reduce costs.
  • Consider on-campus residence: Students highlight benefits such as safety, proximity to classes, community living, and social events, making it a good choice for first-year international students.
  • Book off-campus housing early: Limited availability and high demand mean popular residences and rentals are often taken months ahead.
  • Choose location wisely: Look for accommodation near bus routes, as public transport is essential for commuting across campuses.
  • Budget realistically: Shared rooms typically cost CAD 700–1,000+ per month, while private rooms are significantly higher.
  • Use trusted platforms: Websites like Places4Students.com (recommended by Conestoga student bodies) offer genuine listings filtered by campus.
  • Don’t assume availability on arrival: Even with slightly easing demand, many students report difficulty finding housing after reaching Canada; hence, pre-booking is strongly advised.

Conestoga College accommodations provide students with a variety of housing options that are tailored to their specific needs and preferences. From residence halls to homestays, students can choose a comfortable and safe place to call home while pursuing their academic goals. With various amenities and services available on-campus and off-campus, students can focus on their studies and have a fulfilling college experience.

  • So while I was studying, I preferred for off-campus accommodations, which were really cheap for me I guess and it was near the college so it was the same as that on campus Accommodation but just the one thing was not there that the food which in on campus Accommodation is provided by the college but here you have to make your own food you have to prep that and all, but the monthly rent was really really low as we compared with the  on campus I was paying around like $500 in a month but if I would have been in the on campus.
  • Accommodation rent was around $800 and but my rent was around 500+ we can say the hundred for the utility bill so total 600 was there just one thing I would like to say is that you have to be around the campus every time when you find a room for you at the Accommodation that should be near the campus because because you can save your transportation fees also.

The average rent includes utility and grocery costs around 550 per Month

Sop tie with your country that you will return after studying the course and also mention some property or bank balance for ircc satisfaction. No, I didn't had any interview round I was not having any other options at the time of application that why I choose this college but later I found that it's good college in terms of quality of education and passing exam I would tell future students who just want to pass or get an certification or credentials for just to work then go for it but other side the education is better than any other clgs here they will teach you but it depends on you to study or do work.

I chose this course as a transition from GBM course to GHM as it would help me reduced my credits . As my credits got transferred . Since students who study GBM and move to GHM get their fees reduced to almost half

I live with my cousin and I am paying 650 per month and the average rent is around the same

I had to submit sop I basically mentioned I learned everything from my mother as she is a commerce and my life teacher I had one interview where they just asked me about my background and tested my knowledge. \I chose conestoga because it had the perfect course for my interests My overall experience at Conestoga College has been positive. The teachers are knowledgeable and approachable, which has greatly enhanced my learning experience. The college itself provides good facilities and resources to support student success. However, the sense of community could be improved, as it feels somewhat lacking compared to other aspects of the college. Nonetheless, I have found my time at Conestoga College to be valuable and rewarding.

Accommodation is hard to find because of the inflow of huge number of students. Accommodation is expensive and not value for money. Average rental is 550 in sharing basis.

I had to submit Sop and cv. I have included my skills and my experience in my cv. Yes I had one round of sop check . I had written sop based on my experience and future plans for the degree i intend to do and want to acquire. I searched for post graduation studies for website design and development. Thats why I choose this course and this college. Its okay . The college is huge. Fun to walk around. People from different places to see . Lake to see. But very expensive and lots of assignments.

On campus accommodation is quite expensive option and also very limited in proportion to the no. of international students enrolled. Off campus housing is better option and more economical.

So far it's going good as I am in the main campus and have accessibility to all the facilities like gym, sports, eSports, free high wifi , library writing support, cafeteria area, cultural program and events and level of education.
