What Students Say
Likes
- I like their study method, and they try to make your study more practical, for example: they have given us projects on real companies to improve their growth in my student life
Dislikes
- But what I don't Like is that some professors are racist to Indian students.
So, my first reason for choosing this course was the cost it was the cheapest among all colleges, and they had a coop for last semester. So, I saved money for the last semester as I didn't have to pay fees to them due to coop.
Course Curriculum
Yes, as in Lambton you needed to do an internship last semester to graduate and recently I have just started my coop.
Faculty
They have great faculty for students. It's up to students how they use the faculty. Most of the professors are great. They are very approachable and cool. Mr. Fernando and Carlo these 2 professors have a great impact on me.
Campus Life
My college organizes a lot of events because of the multi-culture every festival or important day is celebrated here. For example, Independence Day for India, the Philippians, and the Jamaicans. Secondly, the infrastructure is not bad, Lambton College has its own 2 buildings both of them have a lot of facilities, like Tim Horton, Canteen, Gym, Yoga room, Counselling facilities, Library etc.
Placement
From time to time they organize job fairs for current graduate students. So I have seen many companies on campus like SSP, FGF Brands, Definity, CGI, and Quad Real; post on the college website.
Accommodation
For accommodation, you have to find it on your own. I'm living here with my relatives. There are accommodations on a sharing basis as well as private but it's just the cost that matters. For sharing it is a little cheap as compare to a private room and location also matters.
Exams
- The requirements are on-site. Basically, it would help if you had an IELTS score, GRADUATION MARKS. There was no test for this college but maybe there will be for other streams like science. - PSEB- 87%(10th); PSEB- 90% (12th); Bachelors in Commerce - 89%(UG) - Requirements: Yes, I have to submit SOP and other required documents such as passport, biometric, and property evaluation documents. I have also attached my work experience as I have experience in accounts.
Fees
For 1st and 2nd year I paid around $18000. For 3rd term, it was around $9000. For the 4th term, it depends, if you are eligible for a co-op and get one there is no fee. If you aren't eligible for co-op in that case you have to pay around 2600 for WIL.
