- I had no dislikes. The teachers were knowledgeable and taught effectively. The curriculum activities were engaging and helped reduce exam stress. The infrastructure was impressive, the technology was advanced, and the canteen offered delicious food, everything was wonderful
Course Curriculum
- Well the course starts with easy subjects at the beginning and the level got tough with each semester, i would say the last one was the toughest one as we have to submit project and give interviews.
- Mine is technical course so i had to learn alot and most of the things are tough so it took some time to grab it, there were 2-3 classes in a day and for 4 days in a week. 25 students were there, all were indian
Admission Experience
- I just applied in Lambton College so I didn't face any rejections. I got admission here easily and quickly as the process was quite simple and fast. I enjoyed that time because everything was in my favor , whatever i was thinking i was able to do that. So i didn't faced any difficulty at the time of admission.
- I chose Lambton college because it has great programs and the reputation of the college was good. The admission process was quite simple as we just have to fill out the online application form and then have to submit the transcripts and then we have to meet the English language requirement which is IELTS and have to get 6.5 band overall in IELTS in order to get admission.
- The process was smooth and easy , just have to prepare yourself fully in everything whether its documents or IELTS score and you can get admission easily here. So i had good experience at that time because everything was quite smooth.
- I applied to September intake as it is one of the biggest intake of the year, and i think i made the right design because finding out a part time job is really tough in winters and that period helped me in gaining one of them. I applied in march 2021 but i got the confirmation in june 2021 so that was the total time it took for the whole process. And then i packed my stuff and left in august.
Faculty
- There was one teacher per subject in the college and that is enough to teach a single subject to whole class.
- it was similar to Indian methodology but assignment deadline is something which is very serious.
- No no one will help you here to find any job, you have to search on your own, likedin is the only method to find any contacts, all were of same level, nothing special about anyone.
Campus Life
- There are 2 campus in total, one in sarnia, one here in toronto, each and every facility is here like library, games room, personal study room, free gym membership, canteen, medical services.
- There were alot of events happened frequently like IT fest, dance competition, hackathon, rangoli, Diwali and mehndi festivals, and sports events. We really enjoyed them
Part Time Jobs
- Around 10-30% of students get TA, RA, or DA jobs, with pay typically between $15-$25 per hour. Other on-campus jobs include working in the library or dining services, paying around $12-$20 per hour.
- Students are usually allowed to work up to 20 hours a week. Getting a part-time job can be competitive but doable. You can secure job with little bit of difficulties.
- Students in Canada if they do part time jobs only gets 12$ to 20$ per hour in the part time jobs. Nowadays there are so much Indian people in Canada , so securing a job in Canada and managing it with college or you can say studies is a big task as a student.
- Its very difficult to get a job here , firstly have to apply the job via online portals or through campus and then have to submit the resumes and after that have to give interviews then also there is 80% chance that you get selected.
- Getting a job here is difficult and have to face a lot of challenges in order to get a good safe jobs.
Placement
- In my college there are opportunities , 80 to 90% people who graduated get placed in the first six months and get a nice salary package ranging from 50000$ to 80000$ annually.
- Many students find their jobs from internship , few of them get through job portals , few get from their good networks build and rest from campus.
- My batchmates have joined good companies like Google , Amazon , Delloitte and get placed at great roles, Microsoft and IBM also are some good recruiter companies which takes students at good pays.
Accommodation
- I searched through an app called KIJIJI, my monthly rent was 500 canadian dollars.
- Well the places are really hard to find, like we were not sure about the behaviour of landlords, how responsible they are, or how they gonna treat us, this thing is really challenging, and then finding the neat and clean room comes after that, this is the only was to look through online apps, it was 10 km away
Exams
- IELTS is the only requirement and 6.5 is needed in each and every module.
- As per the list the documents are every transcript of the bachelor degree or whatever degree u did before applying here, 10 th and 12th marksheets, backlog certificates, national id, passport.
- There was no interview based on the course applied. I have only given Ielts and immigration interview thats it
Fees
- The total fees is 22000 canadian dollars. Approximately 8k-10k per semester, there were 4 semester overall and i didnt opt for hostel so i lived as a paying guest paying 500 rent per month and adding the transport and grocery is like 1200 per month.
- The fees is charged semester wise. As i mentioned it is 1200 including each and every cost of living.
Scholarship
- No i did not received any scholarship and i dont think so that the college had any. So i dont know the amount of that.
- None of our batchmates received anything like that. I cannot give any statistics for this question as I haven’t seen anything like that in lambton college. But i wish they would have something like that, it is a great way to save some money from the fees
