What Students Say
Likes
- I liked the courses
Dislikes
- I disliked the training and placement department , received very vague tips and tricks and most of which were outdated as per the current job market.
Course Curriculum
- It's updated regularly enough and it is relevant. We were given a capstone project but it's not worthwhile to find the job in the current market. A co-op would have been great.
- Number of classes and students depends on the choices of students. Some classes have very few students, while the max is 40 students for mandatory subjects.
Admission Experience
- I had less time to apply for universities next semester and I received the acceptance letter from humber so I chose this.
- My IELTS score was 7.5 and the requirements were about 6.5 overall
Faculty
- Many of the faculty have been in the college for quite a few years and they are very well versed in their subjects. Some faculty were new and they are also very knowledgeable about their subjects. Only a few faculty were not showing up to the mark.
Campus Life
- The campus life was pretty much nonexistent, as the humber downtown campus is just a 3-story area in a downtown business building, for libraries there was a book vending machine with a very limited number of books available, like 30-40 books.
Part Time Jobs
- The part-time opportunities were only 2-3 positions available; there were some opportunities for volunteering in events. No students achieved TA OR RA positions on humber downtown campus.
Placement
- I am still looking for full-time opportunities but few of my classmates have gotten them, so I would say about 20-30% of students got their job within 1 year of completion. Students mostly find them by online job portals like indeed LinkedIn.
Accommodation
- Accommodation was pretty much the same. Finding accommodation is getting a bit harder now and monthly rent in GTA area for sharing is around 500-600 cad
Exams
- IELTS is required, as is a previous degree in the relative field.
Fees
- Tuition fees were CAD $22000 per year and looking at the curriculum
