GLA University courses are offered across the diploma, UG, PG and doctoral courses. In different specialisation in Arts, Commerce, Science as well as engineering. Ranking and Accreditation: According to IIRF report 2023 it ranked 8 among top institution in India in overall category. It has been accredited by NAAC with A+ grade. Ans. In my opinion, IMS Ghaziabad is a much better option than PSIT Kanpur mainly because of its NCR location. When choosing a college, a factor of utmost importance is where the college is situated because your location will impact your college life largely. Opting for a college situated in NCR is a boon as it will give you a lot of exposure to activities and education in general. You get more exposure to industries and startups and thus getting internships is a lot easier. One more advantage is that you can avail many good coaching facilities in the NCR location which may not be possible in a city like Kanpur.  The campus life is less strict at IMS Ghaziabad than at PSIT and there are no strict attendance rules. The fees and value of a degree are almost similar in both colleges but you can enjoy your life much better at NCR colleges. I am strongly against you joining PSIT Kanpur because Not a good location Unnecessary struck rules related to attendance  You have to be stuck 9-5 completing unnecessary assignments which have no real importance  Not a good college to enjoy life and hang out No coding culture in PSIT  Despite it all, PSIT Kanpur has a 100% placement percentage and will help you get places in CS. Ans. If you have a GATE Scorecard, you will be able to secure a place on the PSIT for mechanical engineering. This is because of the availability of the one Interview Round. But try applying online or calling them for any opening if you are a graduate. They will inform you and organize an interview if they find you relevant. Whether you will be appointed as a faculty or laboratory assistant according to your qualification. You will continue to work for approximately 2 years as Lab Assistant. In terms of actual placement at the campus, top recruitment firms like Infosys, Capgemini, TCS, Tech Mahindra, and Wipro visit the campus. Students are given leading jobs such as assistant system engineer, software developer, and business analyst. The top salary package provided is 26 LPA and the lowest pay package is 3 LPA. The average package available is 3.6 LPA. In order to better understand the concept, PSIT offers E-classrooms, laboratories, workshops, and training. Ans. Mechanical engineering is not good in PSIT Kanpur. You will regret your decision of taking admission there. Following are the reasons why you should not join PSIT Kanpur PSIT Kanpur has very strict rules and regulations and parents have to pay a fine for everything. 90% attendance is compulsory, CCTV cameras are installed inside all the classrooms.  You cannot even sit and study in the library if you have some boring lectures going on.  You will not gain any knowledge even after spending 4 precious years. PSIT Kanpur lacks a competitive environment for GATE, CAT, etc. If a student wishes to prepare for any competition exam, the college rules are so strict that there will be no time left for your preparation Here’s presenting some facts about Mechanical Engineering at PSIT Kanpur - Categories Mechanical Engineering at PSIT Kanpur Course Fee 5.60 lakh Placement Percentage 80-85% Highest CTC 8-10 LPA Average CTC 3.7-4 LPA Recruiting Companies TCS, Infosys, Wipro. One of my friends qualified GATE with a respectable score that will lead him to do masters from IIT Bombay but believe me PSIT has no role in this. Ques. How is ABES EC as an engineering college and what are its downfalls??

Ans. Don't even consider ABES EC if you're serious about building a career. Here's why: I'm a final-year EEE student, and in my experience, only about 5% of the teachers here are truly worthy of respect. If you're eager to learn new tech skills, this isn't the place for you. Teaching here is all about dictating book content. By the end of the semester, you'll hear, "Just study my notes; they're enough for the exams." Nobody is concerned about your personal issues. Even if you're battling a serious illness, you still need to maintain 75% attendance, or you'll face internal setbacks. I sometimes wish I had chosen a different college, even one with a lower ranking, because at least there I'd manage around 75% aggregate thanks to better internal marking. Here at ABES, getting 75% in internal marks is a big deal. Decisions aren't based on rules but rather on the ego of your department head. They will make you miserable if you don't conform to what they want. Your skills and talents don't matter here. Attendance and compliance are all that count. The management is very political. Even if you have proof and are in the right, nobody, not even the director, will back you up if someone opposes you. In my first year, we had classes on Sundays too. Internal exams were held from 5:00 pm to 6:30 pm after a full day of classes from 8:30 am to 4:20 pm. It's mentally exhausting. Two entire notice boards are filled with lists of fines for so-called indiscipline, and about 70% of these aren't even real issues. It's obvious the college is focused on making money. If you're looking for positives, the only decent things are the ground (where you can't play), the auditorium, and the cafeterias. That's about it for ABES. To sum it up, if you want to be an "Engineer," forget ABES. But if you're just looking to get a "B.Tech," then you're welcome here. My advice is to not even think about coming here.Read more

Ans. Hey there. I graduated from ABES Engineering College in Ghaziabad in 2012. Back when I joined, the college had a solid reputation, though I'm not sure how it's perceived now. The infrastructure is impressive, possibly the best in the university. As for the faculty, they were mostly average, with a few great ones and a couple who weren't so good. I completed my degree in electronics and communication, but I noticed that placement opportunities for my field were limited. I recall that only one company, Cadence, recruited about 8 to 10 EC students. Most job offers were for the computer science department. I ended up getting a job in an IT firm. TCS hired roughly 250 students, and IGate took about 25 or 30, with packages around 3.5 LPA. Not many big companies came for placements, and those that did often offered less than 3 LPA. Now, I'm working in Hyderabad with a decent salary of 10 LPA. The student crowd here is quite serious about academics, and you'll face tough competition. If you're looking for a fun college experience, this might not be the place. The college administration puts a strong emphasis on academics and discipline. You'll need to work hard for your internal marks, and attendance is strictly monitored. The first year can be challenging, but you'll get used to it as time goes on. Overall, I'd say it's an average college. If you're an average student like I was (I scored 65%, which is considered below average at ABES), but you're good at English and confident, you can still land a job. Just keep your expectations for college life realistic. Hope this helps!Read more

Ans. Overall ABES EC is an average engineering college at best. Here are some of the pros and cons of joining the institutes.  Pros:  It has great infrastructural facilities. There is centralized AC for all blocks in the whole college. The lush green campus will soothe your eyes. The hostel accommodation is well furnished and maintained regularly.  There are many food courts that sell good quality food at reasonable prices. The campus has a big stadium that conducts different cricket matches. Some of the faculty members are cooperative and student-friendly.  The ABES EC placement scenario is decent. The average CTC offered to students is around INR 6 LPA. There are many clubs like Samvaad Theatre Group, Technovation, etc. in which you can take part.  Cons:  ABES EC has a strict 75% attendance rule. Failing to maintain this can lead to detention.  The institute calls parents if they don’t attend your class.  The hostel curfew timing for girls is strict. You need to be inside the hostel premises at 6 pm during winter and 6:30 pm during summer.  The video will take you on a tour across the ABES Capus Overall, your time at ABES EC will be a bittersweet one. Read more
