Ans. KIIT will take all of your parents' hard-earned money. They will allow your entire batch to sit in some 2 to 4 average companies through campus placement, but if you want to work for any services-based IT company, you can get admission to KIIT. If GATE/IES/PSU is your goal, it is best to study in a college that is close to your home and has lower fees. HBTI is the best not only in UP but across the country, with an excellent alumni base dating back to 1921. Each year, the best students from UP attend this prestigious institute. IET is not bad, but when compared to HBTI, it falls short in terms of placements, alumni base, academics, and so on.Read more

Ans. Both of the institutions are situated at a distance of 80 km from each other. IET Lucknow is situated in the industrial capital of Uttar Pradesh and the HBTI Kanpur is situated in the Political capital. If you live in one of the two cities, you can choose accordingly; otherwise, this factor has no significance. According to AKTU, both the institutes are ranked at number 1 and number 2 in UP, but the situation is completely different analytically. HBTI is a well-known institution and has been the parent institute of IIT Kanpur and Uttar Pradesh Textile Institute. Both the institutes are government-run with complete control over examinations and the curriculum of courses offered by them. If you enjoy programming, Computer Science would be the appropriate course for you, while Mechanical Engineering is for those who want to acquire a genuine sense of what engineering is all about. The faculty of IET Lucknow is better than that of HBTI. You will have numerous opportunities outside the campus. The placement statistics for the mechanical department are not very good at both institutes, but placement in the CS department is extremely good. Ans. Choosing a particular college or a department actually depends on you, and how you want to shape your career ahead. Having known some people who study in both these institutions, I can say that they all have their fair share of strengths and weaknesses. I might not be able to help you select one among them, because they are both good in their own ways. So, I will share some information about them which might help you make the choice. ECE at IET Lucknow has one of the finest faculty. They also have a great student crowd. HBTU also has highly experienced faculty members. Placements at HBTU are also much better than IET Lucknow. The enrolled candidates of the GATE exam are really great. They also offer a vast alumni network unlike IET. Categories Electrical Engineering at HBTU ECE at IET Lucknow Course Fee 5.17 lakhs 3.44 lakhs Highest CTC 29 LPA 18 LPA Average CTC 16 LPA 8-9 LPA Recruiting Companies Phillips, Havells, TCS, Aditya Birla, etc. TCS, DE Shaw, Barclays, Code Nation, etc. It is suggested that you go for the more experienced institute, as it will prove to be better for your career ahead.
