Apex School of Dialysis Technology (ASDT) is the education and training department of Apex Kidney Care based in Mumbai. It was established in August 2010. It currently runs a six-month-long university approved certificate program in Dialysis Technology (part-time and full-time options).
Apex School of Dialysis Technology (ASDT) has also collaborated with The Tata Institute of Social Science (TISS-SVE) to offer a diploma course in dialysis technology. It is a 2-year-long program for students with science/nursing background.
- The application process is carried out offline.
- Candidates are required to download the application form from the institute’s website and submit the duly filled-in copy either by post or in person.
- Candidates are required to clear HSC to be eligible for both the programs offered by the Institute.
- Candidates applying for the diploma program must complete 10+2 in Science stream or alternatively, should complete the ANM Nursing program.
- Candidates are shortlisted on the basis of marks obtained in the last qualifying exam.

ASDT Diploma & Certificate Course Admission 2023
ASDT offers two Diploma courses in Dialysis Technology which are divided in the Non-Science group and Science group. ASDT also offers a certificate course in Dialysis Technology. The mode of application for all the courses offered by ASDT is offline. Candidates who have passed HSC/10+2/equivalent can apply for either of the courses.
Candidates are selected on the basis of merit in the last qualifying exam. The Institute will shortlist the candidates for the final round of admission.

Key points about admission in ASDT:
- Applicant must pass HSC/10+2/equivalent in Science Stream or should have cleared the ANM (Nursing) course to be eligible for admission.
- Non-science candidates are also eligible for admission provided they choose to study for 3 years instead of 2.
- Candidates for Certificate program can opt between full-time and part-time mode.
- Applicant must already be working as a dialysis technician if he/she opts for the part-time certificate program.
- During the counselling-cum-admission process, the applicant’s original documents will be required for verification purpose.
- All candidates seeking admission should not be more than 30 years of age.
ASDT Application Process 203
Candidates are required to download the application form from the institute’s website and submit the duly filled-in copy of the same, either by post or in person before the last date. The application form should be accompanied by self-attested photocopies of the candidate’s prior educational documents, passport sized photo, address proof and other relevant documents. Original documents for verification will not be accepted by Post or courier service. They have to be presented by the candidate or by his/her authorized nominee.
A registration fee of INR 100 is to be paid via Demand Draft or Cheque, in favor of “Tata Institute of Social Sciences”.
ASDT Reservation Criteria 2023
Reservation of seats is subject to the norms as set by the Government of India. Following are the reservations provided by the Institute:
- 15% for Scheduled Castes,
- 7.5% for Scheduled Tribes,
- 27% for Other Backward Classes (Non-Creamy Layer),
- Supernumerary Seats:
- 3% for Persons with Disability,
- 1% for Kashmiri Migrants,
- 15% for International students
- Seats reserved for candidates with prior education from the Apex School of Dialysis Technology (ASDT).
ASDT Scholarship 2023
The Apex Kidney Foundation (AKF) offers scholarships for admission to the Diploma in Dialysis Technology course conducted by ASDT for every session. In order to apply for the scholarship program, the candidate must send a copy of filled-in scholarship form addressed to the Trustee, AKF, Mumbai.
In order to be eligible for the scholarship program, the candidate must meet the following criteria:
- Applicant must have secured admission to the ASDT Course.
- Applicant is not more than 30 years old as on 1 August 2022.
- Applicant’s nationality is India.
- Parent’s/family’s annual income not more than INR 1,00,000.
- Not doing any other course simultaneously from any other institute or University.
