In the 8th semester, placement interviews begin with various hospitals offering placements. Approximately 95% of students receive campus placements, with an average annual package of INR 280,000. The government salary scale for doctors is around INR 60,000 per month. Internships are a compulsory component of the program, lasting 12 months, with a stipend ranging from INR 7,000 to 12,500 per month, although government stipulations suggest a monthly stipend of INR 17,000.
Post-MBBS, students often pursue further education through the NEET-PG exam or join hospitals as non-PG junior residents. Opportunities for opening private clinics or securing hospital jobs with salaries between INR 1-2 lakh per month are also available.
