Dwijendralal College offers undergraduate courses in Arts and Commerce fields namely B.A. and B.Com with various specializations. In addition to this it also offers certain career oriented certificate courses such as rural development, tax management and sales and marketing management.

To be eligible for any of the undergraduate courses the students should have passed 10+2.
There is no entrance exam to get admission in the college.

Established in 1968, the college is affiliated to University of Kalyani and has been accredited by NAAC (National Assessment and Accreditation Council) as a ‘B+’ grade college. Dwijendralal college also has study centres for other courses like Directorate of Open and Distance Learning, the University of Kalyani and the Indira Gandhi National Open University. The college has been named after a great poet and freedom-fighter Dwijendralal Roy and aims at development of an all-round personality of students.

Eligibility Criteria

The students should have passed 10+2 examinations in any stream from any recognized board to be eligible for certification courses in the Dwijendralal College.

Selection Criteria

The selection is based on the merit list released by the college authorities. Those who meet the eligibility criteria will be named in the list according to their submission of application form.

How to Apply?

The students have to apply through the official website of the college by filling an online application form for admission to any of the courses offered by the college.
The application fee is INR 200 and can be paid either through offline or online mode. No cash payment is accepted.
The college after scrutinizing the applications of eligible students releases a merit list based on the marks scored by them in 10+2 examinations.
If selected, the students have to appear for counseling where they have to pay the fees and get their documents verified in person.
The scanned copies of the following documents are needed: Class X and XII mark sheet, Identity proof (Aadhar card), transfer certificate, character certificate, passport size photographs, signature and caste certificate (if applicable).

Dwijendralal College Scholarships

The institute provides scholarships to both meritorious and needy students. For girls many scholarships such as Kanyashri Scholarship are offered by the Government of West Bengal.
For students belonging to reserved categories like SC, ST and OBC and economically poor sections of the society the scholarships are provided as per the norms of West Bengal Government.

GO FOR IT!!

Admission:

I applied to around three colleges, like one government college, Krishnagar, Chapra College, and then Krishna Deol. And I chose Krishna Deol because it’s, well-renowned, I'd say and I also talked with some local people before taking admission, and they suggested that this would be a better choice for me. And I kinda loved the strictness of it. I didn’t get rejected by any of the colleges I applied to, but they were, umm, quite late with their responses, especially the government college. The admission process issimple. If you’re from West Bengal, you don’t have to do much. You just submit your basic documents like your Class 10 and 12 marksheets and certificates, your basic ID, your school leaving certificate, all that. There’s an online form you fill out, and then they take a small interview or, like, ask you a few things. And after that, once you pay the fees, your admission is done. There’s no other exam in the process.

Over all a nice college for all arts and commerce students

Admission:

I have applied to several other institutes that offered similar courses. These colleges and strong reputation in the field but ultimately choose this one due to its specialised curriculum hands on learning approach and opportunity to work with leading experts in the field For this course the eligibility requirements includes 835% grade in higher secondary exam at the under graduated level.

The admission process in this college is direct. I got admission into this college on merit based. My percentage was good and enough to clear the cutoff criteria. After filling the application form I got call directly from the admission department
