Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) is a three-year full-time diploma programme designed to prepare competent nurses and midwives with practical skills in nursing care and midwifery services. The course provides comprehensive training in foundations of nursing, medical-surgical nursing, community health nursing, maternal and child health nursing, and midwifery. Students gain hands-on clinical experience in various departments of Tata Main Hospital and community health settings. The total fees for the programme is 60,000 (approximately 0.6 lakhs). The programme is offered in full-time mode at Tata Main Hospital School of Nursing, Jamshedpur, Jharkhand, approved by Indian Nursing Council and recognized by Jharkhand Nurses' Registration Council. Admission Status: Admission to GNM Diploma at Tata Main Hospital is conducted annually. For the 2026-27 academic year, the college will notify the entrance examination date through official channels. Eligible candidates will be called for a written test, the date of which will be notified by post. Based on performance in the written test, candidates will be shortlisted and interviewed for final selection. Selected candidates must be found medically fit from Tata Main Hospital. The programme commences in July-August 2026. The college offers 30-40 seats for GNM Diploma with hostel accommodation available.
