honest review for ewing christian college (ecc) allahabad

Likes

i would say that my professors teaching me are really helpful and chill about stuff.
campus is clean, the central ground is good to chill in sunlight and talk to friends in winter
my library experience was quite good, its not way too small as i expected it to be

Dislikes

dogs roam around which i dont think is safe for anyone
from pictures its seems really huge campus but its a bit small from my expectations
no proper dedicated playground. only one big field, a nice lake view park, and a basketball court

there was an intership program for bcom students which my roommate has enrolled and it duration is of about 45 days at eve 7-9pm of zoom video call. i will give them an opportunity to get intership abfter grad

Must consider points before choosing

Likes

Infrastructure of the college is good and gives you nice feeling for being there.
Some professors of my college were far good but some even lacked the basic skill of teaching.
You will get to meet good peoples around and teachers are supportive too.

Dislikes

No placement oppertunities are being guranteed by the college
Every day you will be charged a parking fees if you come to college by any private vehicle
The classes are based on the conventional style of teaching.

Internships Opportunities:

The college is working on providing internship oppertunities to its student but not all students get it. May be this happens because this more like a degree college where you will get good knowledge about the subjects but no exposure outer job market.

Ewing Christian College : A Student's Perspective

I like the green campus of my college widely spread over 42 acers with very much varieties of plants with some rare species and the old structured department's buildings and the one old building which the big wall clock is embedded.
I like the gardens with variety of flowers that bloom everyday , common seating areas around the departments , the basketball & badminton court and the huge college ground with over 600 meters of circumference .
I like the co-ordination of teachers of departments such as chemistry , mathematics , hindi , english and teachers of additional subjects . Till date I have visited many departments but teachers from these departments are seemingly good than other.

Dislikes

As you all know it is 2024 and in 2025 mahakumbh is going to be organized in Prayagraj , due to this in the college's parking areas was totally looking like slum , some of the labours make their tents there .
Garden adjoint to maths department was totally destroyed ; which we have cleaned up by our team efforts , one of the boys washroom is also being demolished due to the widening of roads by PWD .
All things are good in college are good till it comes to marks giving criteria in exams by examiner , yes it is one of the prominent reason here is that students are nit satisfied by their marks because examiner who evaluates copies gives less marks

Placement Experience:

As for UG courses like B.Sc and B.A. no such placements are here but for B.C.A. and B.Com here are placements with varying 2.5LPA to 6.5LPA . For PG couses such as M.Sc with chemistry and mathematics and M.A. with hindi and english internships as well as placements are being provided to the desrving candidates .

The campus is big and very well structured and all the necessary things are available there are basketball courts and football ground for different types of sports there is a pitch also for Playing cricket
The faculties are great one of the best teacher from all over India
The environment is also very good and the seniors are also cooperative and helps us in many ways

Dislikes

Nothing everything here seems fine and nothing to complain about

Internships Opportunities:

Don't know much about this but as per I heard there are some very good companies that offer internship for the professional courses like b pharma and biotechnology and there is a bright future for students .

Informative and honest review of Ewing christian college Allahabad

Likes

Teachers are good and supportive and very helpful.
Centralised AC is also available in the class rooms and that's a relief in summer time.
No ragging or any kind of bad stuff by the seniors. Proper discipline is maintained.

Dislikes

Some teachers should really look up to there teaching style as seeing some teachers.
Teachers often come late for the class, like they take 15-20 mins extra time to come.
No good placements for the students or if any then it's very low packaged.

Placement Experience:

As college placement is not so good and I suggest students to not rely on the college placement. I suggest students to peruse a master's degree after completion of BCom because that's will helpful for you.

Ewing Christian College - Best Autonomous or worst??

I liked the college location and it's surroundings
College is well devloped and well maintained
College has diffrent facilities like wifi cold water etc.

Dislikes

Classes are not smart and digital classes
College never listens to students directly
College staff dosent provide you thier helping hands

Placement Experience:

College Privides placement to only Maths commerce and computer students in different companies like Hcl Wipro pvt ltd etc . But if you chose BIO aur BA you aren't eligible for internship. Last year Wipro offered the highest package of 5 LPA to the BCA student Only 30 percent students of the above mentioned courses get placement in company

Likes

Campus:- it has an outstanding structure and proper environment for college students
Faculty:- b.sc have the best faculty i can say
Discipline:- the college have a peaceful environment

Dislikes

Parking area is too bad and also have no mangement
Washroom:- there is common washroom for boy's it's not specific in departments
Registra office:- they work to slow and have no manners how to behave

Internships Opportunities:

Internship opportunities is less but yaa there are many workshop programs and seminars which make a good impression on our cv and it give us confidence that which we can raise. There are many projects in the botany department especially

Likes

The best thing about ecc is they provide quality education with best environment of decipline.
Teacher's are very much hard working and supportive.
They pay more attention in the practical knowledge of most of the things.

Dislikes

Sometimes the attendance issue which is 75 percent is must.
With the resistar office work I am not satisfied
Regarding the semester system in the graduation due to this we get less time for the study

Internships Opportunities:

At the last year every student alloted a single project to make and one guide also provided to the student for the help and the project must be working project and you will be awarded practical marks on the basis of your project.

ECC merits and demerits

Likes

Firstly, I liked the whole campus. Campus of Ewing Cristian College gives you a good feel of being studying in any national university.
All the teachers are friendly and hard working. Well experienced teachers who explains every topics with continuous effort.

Dislikes

I dislike few of the things like- teachers in physics department mostly used to teach us with pdf on projector.

Internships Opportunities:

As I was BSc. PCM student there was no internship program for us. But I heard for few students of statistics department they have visited Noida in any company for internship. It would be a good experience for them.

Teaching methods and Have beautiful garden
Have cafeteria and facilities of sports for every one
Facility of ncc for girls and boys both people

Internships Opportunities:

I am absolutely satisfied with good faculty members. Placements: after completing the course . Local colleges came to recruit students on campus. the highest salary package offered in 2022 was 2.5 LPA.
