Admission to the college can be gained through KCET, COMED-K, or management seats. KCET, a government merit-based option, involves paying CET and college fees. COMED-K requires a Rs 1500 exam fee, with 180 questions over 180 minutes, and no negative marking. Admission is based on exam ranks, with counseling in Bangalore. For KCET, a rank of 14,060 secured a spot in Information Science and Engineering in 2017. The college boasts a vast, green campus with experienced faculty, maintaining a 1:10 or 25:75 faculty-student ratio.
The proctor system assigns a faculty member to each group of 10-20 students. Affiliated with VTU University, the college is exam-focused, yet faculty are approachable and dedicated. The annual tuition fee is about 2.5 lakhs, with separate exam fees. KCET students spend around 9 lakhs over four years, including accommodation, while management quota costs 11-12 lakhs. Hostel fees are between 1.15 and 1.5 lakhs based on sharing arrangements. Scholarships are available, especially for Karnataka domicile students, reducing their fees to about 1 lakh annually.
International students face higher fees. Placement is robust, particularly in Information Science, Computer Science, and Electronics. Around 70-78 companies, including Infosys, Microsoft, and Wipro, visit annually, offering packages from 5-7 LPA on average, with some reaching up to 65 LPA. About 80-90% secure jobs by the 8th semester. Internships start in the 6th semester, with companies like IBM and Bosch participating. Tuition varies by branch; CSE and ISE cost 2.55 lakhs annually, ECE costs 1.87 lakhs.
Financial assistance includes 0% loans and installment options, with scholarships for backward classes and merit students. COMEDK and KCET fees are around 3.5 lakhs and 1 lakh per year, respectively. Government and private scholarships provide additional support.

One of my friends got into the Acharya Institute of Technology for the Information Science Engineering course through the management quota. Interestingly, I was also looking up some decent colleges for Engineering in Karnataka for my sister, so I might be able to help you with your question.
I would further be mentioning certain situations or circumstances that you might face ahead. These can be:
Under circumstances similar or closer to these, you can think about pursuing it or securing otherwise. The choice is entirely yours.
One of my seniors graduated from the IS branch of Acharya Institutes. He has seen a considerable number of students quit because they had complaints regarding the non-payment of their salaries. They looked for better opportunities in other colleges. He did not find anything better about the department apart from the HOD and a few other lecturers.
If you are looking for employment in companies that are service-based, you will most likely get placements. If you are looking for help and motivation from your peers or faculty, you will probably be disappointed. My senior and a lot of his peers got little to no help with the same, including research activities. My senior suggests that you should choose ISE at Acharya only when you do not much have many choices and/or if you have a low rank.
