Less money and better placements.

Likes

The Training and Placement Program is great
They also teach beyond the btech course, with trainings on soft skills, aptitude, advance technologies, etc.
Subsequent reviews are conducted with HODs as well as director principal.

Dislikes

Perhaps, the infrastructure can be improved.

Placement Experience:

The placements are nice. Most people got placed in the last few years. Many people had multiple offers as well. The average package is around 8 lpa Highest package for 2024 was 54 LPA. Service based, product based and even startups hire from CEC.

Likes

Faculties are great here. They are very supportive and frank. They treat as a friend sometime so we can rely on them
The campus is so green and beautiful here. There are many flowers and trees here to keep the environment fresh
Hygiene is the most important thing. And the college is so clean and hygiene.

Dislikes

I don't think i disliked anything but the fact that the college only used punjabi language in their DJ or in their anchoring. The students from other states can't understand it.
The study material and equipments should be more. We have limited books in our library. I think they can do more in numbers.
Hostel food can get more better. And the stationery shop should be open till late night.

Placement Experience:

From 5th semester, we are eligible for placements. They are many companies who give placements to students like cognizant, accenture, amazon, Bosch, HP, Nokia and many more. They give wide no. of offers. In 2023, bosch have placed 500 students in their company from our college. Highest package was 40 lpa and average was 8 lpa. 80% students got their placements from the college. My plan is working in a IT company

Cgc gives placement

Likes

Teacher are good and 75% attendance is compulsory for all students.
Hostel facilities are also good and the food is delicious for vegitarian people .
Campus is small but I don't think about the campus because study is main role in this time

Dislikes

Hostel bathroom is not clean and and electricity bill is very costly.
Cgc gives back (paper) many students. I think is the income of cgc .
Cgc is not a university this is collaborate to ptu so I didn't recognise this things.

CGC LANDRAN The Good In the Bad and The Bad In The Good

it has a wide variety of opportunities like different clubs are there for students to join , some of the clubs are like music clubs ,dance club , photography club etc.
its has a nice and beautiful campus with a lot of greenery and a lot of cafe's where you can spend time when not in the classes
there are a lot of activities to do in the free time like different games are there like cricket , football , volleyball, badminton, pool table etc

Dislikes

the teachers and the staff is not much cooperative , we are forced to attend the classes against our will and they will even call our parents if we do not attend the classes
we have to pay to park our vehicles in the college premises , like we are already paying for college fees and but still they ask us to pay to park my bike in the college parking
out campus director is so strict that he would directly suspend us if he find us wandering in the campus if there's a class that we miss

Placement Experience:

there are campus placements but because of their criteria most of the students get out even before the placements begin, the student becomes eligible to opt for placement in 6th semester, there are compaines like Flipkart, TCS, Infosys, Accenture, and many more but their criteria make it difficult for mot of us to even get shortlist. Only 29% of students were placed from the last batch of 2020-2024, may plan after the degree id to go for master's and opt for some job to get experience in the IT sector.

College in budget

Likes

I like my college a lot, it is amazing in infrastructure,studies and industrial visits. There is a big good court and other canteens. Our college offer many extra curricular activities in the college so that the students shouldn't get bored of study.
Our college offer many industrial visits, outdoor trips for experience. The college is often heared for its placements and recruitments .
The college faculty is very kind to the students as well as parents. Here the college is budget friendly and even the poor can study with in this college

Dislikes

Our hostel food is not as nice and healthy as we should all get.

Placement Experience:

Our college offers great placements for the students. Here almost every student gets a job as a lot of recruiters come to our college for mass placements and last year our college students got the highest package around 54 lakhs per annum from Amazon which is a great thing for a college. Here many alumni come to interact with the students and encourage them to rise like them. As we all know Ammy Virk is also an alumnus of our college who is very much successful in his career. Here in our college many companies visit for the process of placements like Amazon, cognizant, Deloitte, Mahindra, etc.

Basically I liked the environment there is good environment friendly people and helping teachers and the campus is also good there is greenary everywhere and the culture is also good here theain campus is located in the landran so it's easy to go mar

Dislikes

Here I dislike they probably not giving you the adequate help in the placement they have only big numbers of placement of very high package in the very reputed companies but all are the things are not correct they do not provide any 100% placement to
Everyone one So, if you want to take Admission please don't depend totally on the college for the placement improve your skills and focus on your skills.

Course Curriculum Overview:

As in terms of the course , as I have persuaded MCA Masters So, till now my experience is good but some improvement also has to be done the students should provide more practical knowledge than the academic knowledge because as an IT students we will have to focus on implementing the code and how to implement ig not only understanding the concept more practical and professional knowledge also provided which can be improved

Campus is nice and also the environment is good
All the labs are in good condition for better understanding
Faculty is also well trained so that no doubts are left

Placement Experience:

Students from 6th sem can apply for the placements and there are more than 850 companies which have visited the campus so far and the highest package is 47 lakhs per annum I will also opt the campus placement

College Life is Fun, Various activities and events happen in and around college, you got to know about others and crowd is also decent, Mostly Students are from northern regions that is Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand .
Teachers are good and placement coordinators also help students to get good package on campus. a decent package can be bagged by a student if he/she seriously study and obtain a decent CGPA in exam. Make sure you clear all exams till 8th semester.
Infrastructure Is also good, laboratories are fitted with new desktops and campus size is also decent, Tuck shops and various Canteens are available inside the campus. Also Central Library is there inside the campus where students can study in exam t

Dislikes

The curriculum for 1st and 2nd semester is purely based on subjects that you studied in 11th and 12th, the advance versions of those topics are there in 1st and 2nd semester which make it difficult for students to get good grades.
The placement in other branches like Mechanical, electrical is mere, and one can face difficult in getting on campus placement if he/she belongs to these streams. Also Lack of practical knowledge is there in these streams, Theory is more focused.
If one opt for hostels, then the hostel facilities are not as good as it should be , the mess food is pathetic and one can face difficulty if he/she opt for hostel, also campartively hostel fees are also very high, whereas nearby Pg's are cheaper

Placement Experience:

placement is good in our college. Aveage package is 400000, and average package for cse stream is approx 500000. Various companies like alstom, infosys, accenture, TCS, Wipro, amazon, Walmart, JP Morgan chase and co. etc visit campus every year and recruit students. Approx 300+ companies visit campus and above 80% of cse students are placed but In other streams like ECE.EE and ME etc placements are campartively lower and students face difficulty in order to get placed. MY plan is job oriented i also want to get placed on campus and hope so i will get placed in a good company.

Campus infrastructure is very large and pretty
There are many parks in the campus to have a sit on a

In hostel mess food is not of much good quality
Teachers bunk classes due to their personal reasons
Sometimes students get detained due to lack of attendance

Placement Experience:

Placements of this college of last year are ok ok only . Last year the highest package here was of 44.5 LPA and the minimum package was of 3.5 LPA . Last year 80% of the students got campus placements.

College like heaven.

Likes

Campus structure is nice and elegant and feels like heaven.
Hostel building is an innitiate infrastructure of the college
There are many parks in the college to have a sit at.

Dislikes

Hostel mess food is not of much good quality.
Proffessors sometimes bunk classes due to their personal reasons
Hostel warden is too strict and very discriminative.

Student can start sitting in placement from 6 semester and the eligibility creatiya is 7.5 cgpa for sit in placement Mostly the company here come are mass requirements which are pwc, Infosys, Wipro,assenture,IBM The highest package is 45lpa which was given from Amazon and the aveng pakage is 4.5 lap
