Unprejudiced Honest Review

Likes

Well maintained ratio between teachers and students as 20:1
Starting from culture to sports and other cultural activies happened in between semisters.
In the class room all the lecturers are recorded. Library is opened every day even you can book online too.

Dislikes

Canteen food may be more spicy and tasty and though its a huge campus need felt for more cafes and canteen
More ever staffs are more strict sometimes they treat us like ug level students
Penalty system also very strict in our college

Placement Experience:

During 3rd semester here having placemnts sessions, I am fresher so dont have much idea but has seen that seniors are well placed, near about 80 percent final year students got placed some of them having 2 to 3 offers in there hand.

Best college for taking admission in COEB.

Likes

Our college is providing very high quality education and sports but there is a bad fooding system
Our campus is very cool and attractive .It is free from outside noise .
The teaching methods of faculties is so unique and they also so much intelligent and got degrees from higher Universities

Dislikes

Our college has no canteen,so students don't get proper nutritional food
College infrastructure is not so much attractive and designed.So I can't feel of getting any high quality education
There is a very uncomfortable hostel which is so dirty and don't clean by anyone

Placement Experience:

After 5th semester , students are eligible for getting campus.DLF,TCS, INFOSYS etc visited for campus There is a highest package 30 to 45 lakh and average package is 3 to 4 lakh. There is a minimum of 80 percentage required for the placement and also skills required for the placement.

Likes

Parking is outside the college and felt need improvement for at least proper shading
Playground is such big and we have multiple grounds for different sports
Classes are so live and ratio of the faculty is 9:10 and they alys cited case studies during studies

Dislikes

Computer Lab needs to be improved, Printers too needed
Our campus is such big we need more cafeterias
Need more improvement in transport system

Course Curriculum Overview:

Its a good and reputed college in Bhubaneswar specailly the oldest too. In todays era the post graduation is much more imporant, All companies are prefered a MBA graduate with core knowledege. Todays mareket are every one studing for job purpose rather than knowledge.

There are many clubs and more activities in the campus
Faculty members are much more coopetative and always help full regarding theory class and practical as well
we have separate placement cell which is fully active through out the years. I am now in 1st year let see.

Dislikes

College faculty are very strict regarding classes they treat us like school students.
College canteen preparation the food are less spicy we need more spicy and tasty
Though its a huge campus we have to go far distance for library and canteen and play ground which is not like by me

Placement Experience:

from fifth semister onwards students become eligible for campus placements, Royal enfiled, Mahindra CIE, Tata Teleservice , Mahavir Ferrolyes, MotherSon, JBM Group, Honda are the companies visited for Placement. More than 80 percent students are get placed during last couple of years.

Teachers are supportive, you can talk to few teachers when you will an avoidable problem
Seniors are really helpful.. literally ragging free college
College will take you to various competitions and events

Dislikes

Semesters are quite occur earlier than given time
60% Attendance is mandatory... You can solve this with medical certificate but still

Course Curriculum Overview:

My favourite subject is computer so I really wanted to apply for this course... The college sometimes ask for project submission so it quite boost our confidence level but I think they need to do more There are 2 internal exams per semester

College has an average campus. Not that big nor that small. Annually college celebrates their annual feast in which many sports activities are sone.
Various activities such as cricket , badminton, table tennis, kho kho, arm wrestling, Intra college activities are also done and prizes are also distributed along with trophies. It’s a good exposer.
If you interact with HOD and faculties and ask for their help in understanding or learning skills they will definitely help you and if you remain in touch with the concerned department HOD then whenever the placement comes, they always their to guide

Dislikes

If you don’t approach the faculties then your existence won’t count in the class and moreover you’ll be left over with nothing. So be in touch with the Head of Department always to make sure to hit the placements on time and on top.
The skills curriculum is old and very old programming languages are taught as per the state board curriculum so the students should always work on their skills and always try to gain knowledge about the hot skills to stay ahead.
You’ll be charged too much fine for every silly mistakes you do here and there. For the purpose of fine amount they are very focused on taking times from the students. So always try to Maintain your attendance percentages.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Since I had a dream to become a software engineer so I was actively looking for the colleges in odisha state and came to know that the college is good enough to study and is situated in the centre of the city of Bhubneswar and also has average placements and decent campus. Coming to curriculum , the entire structure is predefined and by the state university and every college whichever falls under this university has the same curriculum designed. The curriculum is based on old technology and old school development but you can make your skills by yourself. The board of University should look into the current market and make a new curriculum based on which the companies are hiring so that their students should shine. Exams timing are strict as it is a state board and ther question papers are also good and their is a huge security when it comes to leaking of question paper.

According to fee structure the college rooms and teaching staffs are well maintained and educated just the systems of the computer labs need more improvements
The campus life is well maintained so as the social interactions as they organise various workshops each year.
Most of the teaching faculties are well experienced,while there are some professors who are working here since 10-15 years but still there are some who are newly hired and lack some experience but still they manage well.

Dislikes

They say that you'll be able to pay fees in emi which is completely false they fine you extra which is typically 2% of remaining fee which completely disrupts the consept of EMI I personally had very bad experience with fees structure
Publishing of results are each semester is often delayed like you'll receive the results of first semester after the exam of third semester so you'll be facing difficulties for applying scholarship (it'll be delayed only)
If you have got a bike or scooty let me tell you the college parking is very bad you'll hardly find enough space of moving your vehicles

Placement Experience:

• Students are eligible for placement (only on BCA) from 5th semester. • there are very few amount of Companies visiting to this college such as TCS,royal Enfield,wipro,OD tech,Infosys etc • As per my information one of our senior who used to study in B-tech stream was hired with 4LPA package in HCL which is the highest package so far and yet in this college • There are 60%-70% of students ratio of getting placement • My plan after getting the degree is to get experience in working any kind of IT company to gain experience along side pursuing MCA in distance so I'll be able to reach more higher career levels

Quality of college infrastructure and learning facilities was too good.
The effectiveness of the placement services and campus was excellent.

Dislikes

There is nothing to dislike about my college.
Talking about infrastructure one thing surprised that is no playground.

Placement Experience:

From 7th semester students become eligible for campus placements. Last year visited companies are ajatus,Surya international,occac tower, qspider etc. The highest package was 380000 lacs and average package was 240000 lacs.
