Gobardanga Hindu College was established in 1947 and is affiliated to West Bengal State University. It was awarded 'A' grade by NAAC and declared as a "5 Star University" by UGC.

Eligibility Criteria

For applying for an honours course at least 50% aggregate score and fulfillment of the given conditions is necessary:

45% score in the related subject OR
55% in both aggregate score and related subject OR
50% aggregate if the related subject wasn't taken up by the student

However, if there is time lapse of 3 years after the completion of the qualifying exam, the student is not eligible for admission.

Gobardanga Hindu College Application Process

Before applying for this college, the student must register themselves on the college website.

The student must enter his/her mobile number, blood group, qualifying examination registration and roll number and scanned copy of photograph.
Once this is done, the student will receive an Application number and Security pin via SMS on the given mobile number.
Using these credentials, the student login anytime by clicking the Existing Application option.
After this, the student can select the subject of his/her preference.
Only if the selection criteria matches for the subject chosen, the student can go on adding the required subjects.
Select the Payment (INR 200/- for each course and extra INR 50/- for each extra combination) option for the registration done.
Once the payment is processed, no modifications will be allowed.

Note: Merit list is published on the college website. Admission are completed only after the verification of important documents by the college official

Best for a student

Admission:

I've choose a different college and course before joining this course which is Bengali hons. But I choose this course over that because I have more carrier opportunitys in this program . No I didn't get any rejections form any other institutes I choose to change my course . The admission process of this college is online and also available in offline , the eligibile criterias is you have to complete the h.s exam , overall admission experience by my side is good .

Admission:

Admission process is all over merit basis. There are 3 merit list for our admission to see the higher secondary number. Application form, application fees and application dates are found in online. There is reservation for sc, st and obc in our college. The frequency of exams between 6 months and it is a very difficult course.

Admission:

I take admission normally through college, there is no entrance exam in this college but on the basis of cut off marks of HS percentage which depends & varry on the choosing sub of honours. There is no benefits of seat reservation. I think If there is a system of entrance exam then it'll be better procedure to take admission for all.

Admission:

I opted english honors because I love english and want to carry forward my further studies with it. I chose Gobardanga hindu college because its very close to my house and is also one of the oldest colleges present in our city, it also has good faculty. As for admission the steps are pretty normarl, I filled up the college admission form online after passing my higher secondary examination and my name came on the second merit list.
