Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Technical Education and Research Center offers B.E. Degree courses in 5 different specializations that include Civil, Computer, Electrical, Electronics and Communication and Mechanical Engineering. Moreover, Electrical and Mechanical Engineering courses are offered in two shifts (morning and evening)
As per the Gujarat Government norms, 25% of total seats in each course are allotted as Management/ self-financing seats and the rest 75% is allotted based on the Merits decided by Admission Committee Professional Courses (JAC-PC). The admission for the Merit seats are based on the candidate’s qualification in the Common Entrance Test (CET) conducted by ACPC, in the state of Gujarat, and also the Merit obtained in the 10+2 examinations. The selection process is conducted through Merit-cum-choice basis counselling, by the ACPC.
The applicant seeking admission for B.E. courses should have passed 10+2 examinations with minimum 45% marks (40% SC/ST) in science stream, conducted by G.H.S.B or its equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics or Biology as major subjects.

Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Technical Education and Research Center offers Master of Engineering (M.E.) program in two specializations namely Thermal engineering and Electrical Power System.
The candidate applying for the course should have completed Bachelor’s Degree (B.E.) with minimum 50% aggregate (40% for SC/ST) in the relevant field from a recognized University. Moreover, candidate should have passed the 10+2 board exams from the state of Gujarat only.
The admission process for the courses is through the Common Entrance test conducted by Admission Committee Professional Courses (JAC-PC). The candidate has to qualify the Postgraduate Common Entrance Test (PGCET) and attend the counselling conducted by ACPC with the cut-off marks obtained. The counselling process is conducted on Merit-cum-choice basis.

For B.E. courses:
Candidates seeking admission for B.E. courses through Merit quota has to apply through the GUJCET entrance examination. The candidate should register for application in ACPC website. The applicant has to receive the User ID for registration only from the prescribed helpline centers (will B.E. Mentioned by ACPC) by paying INR 300 in cash.
- Register for application by visiting the official website of ACPC.
- Fill in the application form with all the information (in accordance with your documents).
- Upload the needed documents (the photograph and signature has to be scanned and uploaded).
- Submit the application.
- Once the application has been submitted, a unique application number will be generated and sent to your registered email ID.
- Application Fees: INR 300
For M.E. courses:
Candidate seeking admission for M.E. Courses have to apply through the ACPC website.
- Before applying online, applicant has to receive the PIN Cover for registration only from the prescribed helpline centers (will be Mentioned by ACPC) by paying INR 1000 in cash.
- Register for application in the respective website of ACPC.
- Fill in the application form with all the information and submit the application after complete review.
- Take a print out of the application form, include the needed documents and self- attested photograph and submit it to the nearby help center (will be mentioned by ACPC).
- Application Fees: INR 1000

The candidate should not submit the original documents along with the application form; instead the candidate should bring original documents to the help center for verification purpose.
