The method of conducting exams on an e-pad which really reduces the stress on students. No need for them to worry about stationary required for the exam.

Dislikes

The absurd assignment timings which sometimes clashes with other extra curricular activities in the college

Fees and Financial Aid:

I am from Computer and Communication Engineering pursuing B.Tech. My Course fees for the 1st year was 3,20,000 INR and at the same year my Hostel fees was around 180,000 INR as it was a double sharing air conditioned room. For the 2nd year Course fees is 5,08,000 INR and is same for 3rd and 4th year. Hostel fees for my 2nd year is the same as the last one. Aound 15,000 INR is taken as caution deposit, Mess fee is around 50,000 which is already included in the Hostel fee. For the scholarships one can get by ranking in the top 5% of the branch which gets you a 20% scholarship off the Course Fees

Manipal Institute of Technology arguable underrated

The course is well curated and professors are competent and helpful

1. 4.9 Lakhs per year inclusive of all charges, which have been taken under tution fees itself. No additional lab fees, registration or admission fees. 2. No reservation of seats, so no difference in fees in categories. Except for national subsidies like PMSS for students from Jammu and AICTE freeship students. 3. Merit based scholarship is available for students achieving less than 5000 rank and obtaining a cgpa of 8.5 in their first year. Need based is AICTE for students with family income less than 7 lpa.

Fees in 1st year was 3,35,000Rs. I received scholar scholarship which offers 20% discount on academic fees. Fees increased this year from roughly 4.5lakh to 5.09lakhs. There are 2 categories, General and NRI. All citizens of India come under general regardless of caste and NRIs have to pay around double the fees of what indians pay

Tution fees of Manipal in 1st year is 325000. Non Tech branches charge 450000 per year and Tech branches charges 510000 per year. There are scholarships for students who are incapable financially but they have to maintain a 8+ gpa every semester . Hostel fees ranges from 1lacs to 2 lacs depending upon the allotted room .

The recorded classes help a lot during exams where we can revise quickly

The fees is on the higher side as compared to other colleges but the facilities provided cover up for it. There are many merit based scholarships available aswell. A lot of the part of the fees is refundable and hence is lower than it looks at first glimpse

I got a scholarship under AICTE reducing my fee to INR 7 lakhs for 4 years(originally it was 18.6lakhs) . MIT is only worth it if you get into the computer related branches only.Otherwise consider other colleges.

Life at MIT Manipal

The fee is quite a lot at almost 5 lakhs per year, but a lot of facilities are provided so it is justified. Hostels are very good, classrooms are all air conditioned and spacious and we are provided with epads during exams.

Story of Manipal

Total course fees of my branch is 18,64,000 of total 4 years. I paid around 335000 for the first year. There is a scope of scholarship. Our college provides AICTE scholarships to the people with income below 8lpa. This is a nice scholarhsip scheme. Also, there are scholarships for good achievers in exam of MET. Financial Assitance is als there in the campus. There are various banks available from which we can avail loans.

Manipal institute of technology

The fees are a little high as MIT is a private College it is around 20lakhs. There are main two scholarships here at MIT one is for students within rank 1-100 which is 100% scholarship on tuition fees and the other is for students within the 101-5000 rank which is 20% scholarship on tuition fees.
