Eligibility Criteria
- Candidates must have successfully completed a Master's degree (M.E./M.Tech./MBA with Bachelor's degree in Engineering) or equivalent qualification with a minimum of 55% marks in aggregate or equivalent grade point scale
- Candidates appearing for final year results are eligible to apply, provided they have appeared for all subject exams before program commencement
- Candidates with degrees from part-time, distance learning, correspondence, or externally recognized universities are eligible as per UGC guidelines
Admission Process
Step 1: Initial Registration - Create account on www.nmims.edu, pay registration fee of Rs. 2,500 plus GST, and complete online application form
Step 2: Document Verification - Download call letter from login dashboard after successful registration and upload required documents
Step 3: Entrance Test & Personal Interview - Appear for 100-mark entrance test (90 minutes) at Mumbai campus only, followed by presentation based on Statement of Purpose and personal interview
Step 4: Final Admission - Complete e-admission form, upload required documents, and pay admission fees to confirm provisional admission
Selection Process Details
Entrance Test: 100 marks (90 minutes) comprising 50% Research Methodology and 50% Area/Domain Specific questions. Qualifying marks: 50%. Candidates with valid NET/SET/GATE/GPAT/JRF scores from UGC, CSIR, ICMR or equivalent are exempted from entrance test but must appear for personal interview.
Personal Interview: 50 marks based on presentation of Statement of Purpose and discussion of research interests and area.
Final Merit List: Based on weighted scores - Entrance Test 70% (100 marks) + Personal Interview 30% (50 marks).
