Admission to the BTech program is based on passing the EAMCET exam, after which candidates choose their preferred colleges and wait for admission results. Each college department is led by a PhD-qualified head and an assistant head, with about 10 to 15 assistant professors. Faculty quality has declined post-COVID, with experienced members leaving and replaced by less engaging younger faculty. The total fee for EAMCET qualifiers is 75,000 INR, and such students receive a fee reimbursement from the state government.
Non-qualifiers can opt for the management quota. Placement training is offered during semester breaks, but CSE and ECE students have better placement chances compared to Civil Engineering students, who face fewer opportunities. High scorers in intermediate exams may also receive a national scholarship from the central government. Civil Engineering students, upon fee reimbursement, only pay an annual building maintenance fee of 3,500 INR and 750 INR per semester, with no additional charges.
