Placement Experience:

Students mostly focused on campus placement because power engineering is not much popular course and it has very limited vaccancy. Of not campus placement then it's very difficult to get the job from outside. Also you will not get job in tier 1/2 cities because most of the power sations or plants are located in the outskirts of the cities.

Placement Experience:

Placement is good except a few center. Company visited in our campus are Adani Power, Tata Power, vedanta, ABB, india bulls, PPN, bhusan power, reliance, OPGCL, ACC, and many more. In recruitment drive, Various steps involved are 1.) Aptitude test 2.) Technical test 3.) group discussion 4.) personal interview. Some center provides 100% center and others upto 60%.

Since the institute is an autonomous body under ministry of power many private companies like Reliance LNT Aditya Birla group SoftBank energy Hero future energies etc use to visit our campus for campus recruitment

At the time of admission the placement was very good but now it is worst because now only 10-20 %of the students get placed because the administration of our college does not make any effort for the B.tech students. They just focus on the pgdc or pdc students

An Indelible experience.

Placement Experience:

Our college is mostly known fir it's excellent placement record as more than 90% students of each batch get selected in campus placements as a big lot of companies visit our campus every year. The average package for B.Tech students is 4-5 lakhs per annum. The companies which usually visit our campus are Alstom Power, Bechtel Power, Tata Power, Reliance Power etc.

I have a few friends from the National Power Training Institute (NPTI). Based on the conversations I had with them, I can give you some insight regarding the institute.

NPTI is started by the Power Ministry of Government of India and a student from there can get jobs at thermal power plants or related sectors such as distribution, boiler manufacturing, etc.
However, in recent years, the government has started pushing renewable energy aggressively and newer thermal power plants are not coming up at the same pace as they used to a few years back. This narrows down your scope of placement after studies.

So choose the course you want to do keeping your interests in mind along with the future scope of the industry in consideration.
