The Computer Science and Engineering program at this college is well-regarded, featuring an effective faculty of over 30 members and a faculty-to-student ratio of about 1:40. The curriculum includes two internal exams and a practical and end-semester exam, which is more challenging and set by BPUT. Tuition fees are approximately Rs. 40,000 annually, with no recent increases, and students can access various scholarships, including the Medhabruti, Post Matric, and other government scholarships that can cover 70-80% of tuition fees for eligible students.
The first-year total fees are Rs. 42,220, reducing to Rs. 27,430 in subsequent years, with hostel fees at Rs. 32,000 annually. The college's placement rate is strong, with 60-85% of students securing jobs each year. The highest salary package offered is 17 LPA, while the average package is between 3 to 4 LPA. Companies like Tech Mahindra, TCS, Infosys, and Apmosys are major recruiters, and the mining department sees even better placement opportunities, with average packages of 8-9 LPA.
Internships are facilitated every three months, especially benefiting the mining sector. However, there are concerns about limited company visits and non-core job offers. Partnerships with companies such as Tata and Mahindra are underway to enhance placement opportunities. Despite the scope for improvement in job placements, the program offers affordable education and supportive faculty, making it an attractive choice for students.
