Ques. What is the penalty for submitting false documents in HLCC at the time of Admission?
Ans. During the Verification of documents or subsequently, if the Admission Committee of HLCC finds any certificate or testimonial, or information submitted by any student, incorrect or false, the studentship of such a student shall be cancelled for that year, and he/she shall be disqualified for admission for the period of the next two years. In the implementation of the provisions of these rules, if any difficulty or question arises as to the interpretation of any provision, the decision of the HLCC authorities shall be final. If any dispute arises, it will fall under the Ahmedabad City Jurisdiction only.
Ques. How Cancellation of Admission is done in HLCC Ahmedabad?
Ans. As per UGC policy for the cancellation of admission and refund of fees in HLCC Ahmedabad, the policy states that the percentage of refund depends on when the admission withdrawal notice is received.
Policy:
• The college will fully refund the fees if the admission is canceled before the last date of admission.
• If the admission is canceled less than 15 days before the last date of admission, the refund is 90%.
• If the admission is canceled 15 days or less after the last date of admission, the refund is 80%.
• If the admission is canceled more than 30 days after the last date of admission, the refund is 0%.
Ques. What actions authorities of HLCC Ahmedabad take in case of Ragging?
Ans. Depending upon the nature and gravity of the offence as established, the possible punishments for those found guilty of ragging at the institution level shall be any one or any combination of the following,
• Cancellation of admission
• Suspension from attending classes
• Withholding / withdrawing scholarship/fellowship and other benefits
• Debarred from appearing in any test/examination or other evaluation process
• Withholding results
• Debarring from representing the institution in any regional, national or international meet, tournament, youth festival, etc.
• Suspension/expulsion from the hostel
• Rustication from the college for periods ranging from 1 to 4 semesters
• Expulsion from the college and consequent barring from admission to any other institution.
