Kohima Science College Faculty

The faculty members are very friendly and easy to approach.There are a lot of faculties and i dont have any specific one as everyone is really good. The best faculties are obviously my department teachers which is the computer science teachers. There are semester exams which is held 2 times in a year and its not so hard to go through.

We have around 100 approx faculty in my college. All of them are well experienced and their teaching is good which all the students also learn or catchup quickly . All the teacher and faculty are well experienced

The relationship between the faculty and students are normal and is approachable. There are many good faculties and i like almost all of it. I don't like the chemistry faculty for not providing enough lab equipments. There are two internal assessment and one external assessment in each semester. The exams are pretty tough for some students and easy for some it depends on the students but many passes.

Scheme of examination is as follows- •Theory paper with maximum mark 100 Internal assessment full marks -30 Ext. assessment full marks -70 Duration of exams -3 hours •Theory paper with maximum marks 50 Internal assessment full marks - 15 External assessment full marks -35 Duration -2 hours •Practical paper Internal assessment - _____ External assessment full marks-50 Duration - 3 hours The best faculty is sir Shevito which is a young asst. Professor who currently joined the college from NPSC exams and is a qualified and a friendly teacher

*There's a good amount of faculty for each department and the faculty and students have good relation. *As I'm from Geography Department I like my department faculty. *I don't dislike any facilities. *There's two exam in each semester.

In my opinion they are the best ones I've ever come across because they are friendly and at the same time strict and we can approach them at any time of the day To be honest there is no particular teacher i hate nor love but instead i love them all equally they are the best

The ratio of teaching faculty to students is about 3:25 which is quite standard. Most of the teachers are well experienced and some from across the country and can be considered one of the best in the state with some conferred awards in their field of research. Almost all the departments are research oriented with some providing P.hds as well. Specifically in Physics department Dr. Sanjay who is a reknowned scientist in India provides P.hd in armospheric physics. The faculty specialises in different fields like particle phsics, atomic physics and also astro physics. Exams are conducted internally and externally.Internal test are monthly tests conducted by the teachers individually. While external exams are the final exams for each semester. As the college us autonomous they set their own paper so difficulty of paper depends on the teacher.

We have two internal test before the end senester examination and its somehow easy if we study, but those who don't show interest at all used to fail but 90 percent of the students passed the test, chemistry teaching faculties are so good as they understand us so much better like parents, they used to guide us so well. And the course is somehoe good and more accurate.

Considering the lack of faculties in my college, with some of them being research scholars it is hard to approach them. One exam in each semester 2-3 internal test before the final exam Internal markings: 30 External marks: 70
