Institute of Management Study (IMS) was established in the year 2006 in Kolkata, West Bengal. The Institute is affiliated with Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology (MAKAUT), Kolkata and is approved by AICTE, New Delhi. IMS Kolkata offers full-time UG, PG, and Doctoral programs in the fields of Management, Healthcare, Media Studies, Humanities, and Computer Application. It’s UG courses viz. BBA/ BBA-HM/ BCA is of 3 years duration, including BTTM which is of 4 years duration with the intake of 60 students in each course, whereas all PG courses viz. MHA/ MBA/ PGDM is of 2 years duration.

There is a single application form available for each course. Applicants are required to attach the money receipt of the application fee along with the application form.

Those who have passed 10+2 with English as a compulsory language from a recognized Board are considered eligible for admission to BBA/ BBA (HM)/ BTTM, whereas for BCA course applicants who have completed 10+2/ HSC with English and have studied either of these subjects viz. Mathematics/ Business Mathematics/ Statistics/ Computer are eligible to apply for admission. However, enrollment to the UG courses will be done on the basis of the candidate’s performance in MAKAUT CET. The minimum eligibility requirement of an MBA/ MHA is Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from a recognized University along with CAT / MAT / JEMAT scores. For M.Phil in Management course, Candidates need to appear in the IMS entrance test as well as a viva round. Candidates can apply to IMS through the institute’s official website.

IMS Kolkata UG Admission 2024

There are full-time UG courses viz. BBA/ BBA (HM)/ BTTM/ BCA and B.Sc offered by the Institute of Management Study. BBA/ BBA (HM)/ BCA courses are of 3 years duration while BTTM course is of 4 years duration. Each UG course has an intake of 60 seats.

Minimum eligibility criteria for BBA/ BBA-HM/ BTTM is passing in 10+2 with English as the compulsory language, while those who have qualified 10+2 or its equivalent qualifying examination with English and either of these subjects Mathematics/ Business Mathematics/ Statistics/ Computer are considered eligible for admission to BCA course.

Admission to any UG course is given on the basis of the score obtained in the qualifying examination as per the guidelines of Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology (MAKAUT), Kolkata.

IMS Kolkata PG Admission 2024

Institute of Management Study runs full-time MBA, MHA, PGDM program of 2 years duration with an intake of 60 students in each program.

Applicants with Graduation (10+2+3 system) in any discipline with English as a compulsory language from a recognized University are considered eligible for admission to MBA or MHA course. Those who are seeking admission to PGDM course shall hold a Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline with minimum 50% marks are eligible to apply for admission.

Admission to the candidates in MBA/ MHA programs is given as per the score of MAT/ JEMAT/ CMAT or its equivalent national/ state examination including their academic performance and their score in the personal interview round.

Joint Entrance Management Aptitude Test (JEMAT) is a state-level test conducted by MAKAUT, Kolkata on the behalf of State Government.
Admission to MBA/ MHA programs is given through one National level entrance test (CMAT/ MAT) and one state level entrance test (JEMAT) or through only one National level entrance test or only state-level test.
The College also considers the educational background of the candidate and their performance in GD-PI during admission.
Candidates shall appear with their legit documents in the Counselling process conducted by the University.

IMS Kolkata Ph.D Admission 2024

Applicants who have completed a Master’s Degree in any discipline from an AICTE approved University are eligible to get admission into a Ph.D. program.

Admission to the eligible candidates is given as per their performance in the IMS entrance test followed by a personal interview round conducted by the University.

IMS Institute offers a Ph.D. program under the IMS Center for Research (IMSCR) in the field of Management/ Commerce/ Economics and other Social Studies branches. It also offers an autonomous certification Fellow Research Program in Management (FRPM).

Admission:

I had applied to many colleges but finally accepted this college because we are from middle class family with financial issues this college was giving mba course at a very affordable range. No I didn't get rejected from any other college applications I just didn't choose. For master's degree you need to give entrance exams like CAT, MAT, GMAT etc after that taking admission is easy if seats are vacant.

So I didn't applied for any other colleges because there are no much college which give this course so yeah this was the one So for the admission you need to give a simple test that is just a MCQ type test and based on the renk you get to have admission also there is a test to get a discount on over-all fee W You need to have more than 40 percentage in your 12 th so yeah pretty good

The admission process is very simple no cut-offs are required. Anyone can apply to this college and take admitted after seating CET ( Common Entrance Test). This test is only the formality of getting enrolled in the university. The ranking does not matter. For admission to the master of public health, you have to give the CET entrance exam, qualifying for the exam is mandatory for admission after that one has to apply for counseling and select the college you want to study. Every year CET exam is arranged by makaut University.(Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology University) You have to apply for the exam and qualify for it, the cutoff is different for different categories I.e SC, ST, OBC, General.
