JMC Trichy B.Sc Physics: Fees 2026, Course Duration, Dates, Eligibility

Admission to the course is based on 12th-grade marks. The college initially offered Chemistry, but students can request changes, as one did to switch to Physics. About 70% of the faculty are rated as very good, with standout professors such as Mr. Bhattacharya in Mathematics and Mr. Ibrahim in Organic Chemistry, both praised for their teaching skills. Sri. T. P. Vanamamalai is also notable for his expertise in Sanskrit and Hindi.

The government-aided college charges an annual fee of approximately Rs. 1000. Students may incur additional costs for camps, social work, and lab damages but typically get back about 50% of the Rs. 1000 in returns. Placements begin in the 6th or 7th semester, with a 70% placement rate. Over 100 companies, including HCL, Infosys, Accenture, Microsoft, and Vdart, participate in the placement process. The highest salary package is 6 LPA, while the average is 4 LPA.

A dedicated placement cell and special professors support students in securing placements. Internships are available from the 3rd year, with opportunities at NDA, BSNL, ISRO, and others for practical experience.
