State Institute of Education (S.I.E), Allahabad was established in 1964. SIE is functioning as unit of SCERT, Uttar Pradesh. Currently it is engaged in creation and development of books, textbooks etc. for the elementary and upper primary level education. The college offer Basic and special Training Certificate (BTC) courses. The college has well qualified teaching staff having years of experience in the field of education. It has support services like Spacious Class Rooms, Sports Facilities, 24 hours electricity supply, latest books Library, Multi-Purpose Hall, hostel building, etc.
SIE basic aim is to develop Creation academic activities by various means and to publish useful and important educational literature and study materials. The main publications of SIE are Rashap magzine, Spandan magzine and Shiksha sankhyaki (annual booklet).
