Ques. Which GATE paper is valid for M.Tech (CSE) admission at Nirma University?
Ans. Candidates must have a valid GATE 2026 score in either the Computer Science (CS) paper or the Data Science and Artificial Intelligence (DA) paper to be considered for GATE-category admission to M.Tech (CSE) at Nirma University. Candidates with GATE scores in other papers are not eligible for this programme. GATE 2026 results were declared on March 19, 2026.
Ques. Can I apply for M.Tech (CSE) at Nirma University without a GATE score?
Ans. Yes, non-GATE candidates can apply. However, GATE-qualified candidates are given priority, and non-GATE candidates are considered only if seats remain after the GATE merit list is exhausted. Non-GATE candidates must appear for a written test conducted by Nirma University (1-hour objective test, syllabus same as GATE CS paper). If all 18 All India seats are filled by GATE candidates, no admission is offered to non-GATE candidates. Non-GATE scholars, if admitted, receive a stipend of Rs. 8,000 per month.
